This City Barbecue restaurant is so good. It's so hard to decide what to get on the menu because everything looks delicious. I wish we could get every single side. The barbecue sandwich was great and delicious 😋. My kids love it and ate everything. It's also quick when everyone is hungry. It's a good place to stop after soccer at the Matthews sportsplex. We loved the corn pudding and the hush puppies and the cornbread and the green beans with the bacon are so delicious. We're definitely coming back to this City Barbeque.

One of my go-to barbecue joints, with brisket that is second to none. I also love their Original barbecue sauce. I just wish I could afford to come here more often, but the prices are like everything else.

Both orders were cold, dry and over-salted. We received a replacement which was the same. We only ate half the order. French fries were soggy and not freshly cooked. Same for the replacement. We previously had an excellent experience at a different location a week ago. We will never dine at this location again.

Wow, I really loved stopping at City BBQ. The brisket was phenomenal and I can never say no to Mac and cheese. Add some fried okra and you've got a triple threat here. Service was great, the staff was attentive and quick. Would recommend anyone who has taste buds to stop by!
The swine wine sauce is unbelievable. If you're looking for NC bbq, here's the place. And I mean really really rich bbq flavors all throughout. The meats are all juicy and tender, with just the right spice blend... And the sauce just puts it over the top. Really great location and friendly atmosphere. The staff were also very caring and attentive. Five stars all around. Coming back for the mother load next time 😜

After our son’s birthday party nearby, the whole group of 25 went here for dinner. The staff were beyond helpful and the food was delicious!! Highly recommend for the excellent bbq and sides as well the fantastic customer service!!!

My husband and I wanted to eat our wedding food (City BBQ in another town catered it) and the Mac n cheese was out for the next 30mins, so we go without it and keep eating our food. A little bit later our cashier comes with a side of Mac n cheese on the house. Excellent service and we will definitely be coming back
