Great food. First time. Will definitely be back.
There were a few staffing issues when we first arrived for dinner and the manager was clear to let us know what was going on. He happily stepped in and took care of our table until the staffing issue was resolved. Our food was great and you could tell that it was homemade and that it didn’t come from a package. The food was absolutely phenomenal, elegant yet homey atmosphere, and wonderful service (from both the manager and our server).
Attractive, welcoming environment. Average service. Very good bruschetta. Pappardelle Bolognese very good. Mahi mahi cooked unevenly & farro firm. First serving of bread on point: crunchy crust & soft inside. Second serving of bread fully hard & crunchy.
Great service and the food was so good!
I’m in here whenever I’m in Charlotte. Great food and wine. Oh. Amazing prices also. The bar and restaurant are absolutely nice to look at. Great atmosphere. Guys. Take your girlfriend on a date here. They won’t be disappointed. Get the Vinho Verde wine.Cheers to the Civetta and the chefs.
Overall the food was great and so was the ambiance. Highly recommend the appetizers. All were amazing: Meatballs, Calamari, mussels, Brussels. The pasta also didn't disappoint. Recommend the Bolognese.
The best Italian food around! We have never had a bad meal. Even being understaffed, our large party was treated well and efficiently. John at the bar also makes great drinks. We love eating at Civetta!
The service is friendly and professional, the food is high quality and the experience is 5 stars end to end. Its a place where you will be treated like treasured family.
Used to be way better before they closed during pandemic. I understand things change but we had such a wonderful experience and then were very disappointed when we came back after they reopened and several things were no longer on menu. Our favorite was garlic bread. I wish they'd bring it back!
Great food grea service !! I am very impressed ! I give it 5 out of 5 ⭐️!
Restaurantji Recommends
Right off the bat, this place is wonderful. The environment is classy and the vibes are confident. All the staff that we interacted with were wonderful, it was a busy Friday night and everything was on point. I also got the Fettuccine Alfredo because ?♀️ of course, and it was fantastic. The risotto was also phenomenal. as well as the drinks (we got the Mule and Margherita from the menu), props to the bartender. Our waitress made sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner (plus her eyeliner was ?) 10/10 would recommend coming here. We will be back!
First time trying this restaurant. We will definitely be back again. The food was excellent. The service was excellent.
First time there and tried their baked lasagna and was disappointed. There was very little pasta in it and could not find any sausage so I was essentially eating ricotta cheese, spinach and tomato sauce. Their desert portions were so small that it would not be enough for a small child. Atmosphere and service was very good but not sure yet if I will go back
After reading other reviews from last year I was looking forward to a decent meal with friends on a Friday evening. My first and only experience was VERY salted appetizers and entrées and what tasted like canned sauce. It is really difficult to screw up Italian food I would be embarrassed to call this restaurantfood. There was no handmade pasta as I had read and the menu was less than stated . When we left there were very few tables in use. I will not be returning
My server/bartender, John, was very knowledgeable about drinks and food options. Consistently consistent, all while training a new server. Recommend the calamari as an appetizer and salmon as a main dish.
