Everything mediocre at best. Let's just say, if they didn't validate parking, I would have been even more upset to have spent the money for subpar food and drinks. Personally, if I was putting my name out there behind the product, I would have been embarrassed by the quality of the food, drinks and space.
Great atmosphere! However it was ruined by the army of huge cockroaches that seems to live there. It was too much to deal with! Unfortunately this place is not worth your time or money. Our waiter was spectacular but the roaches will kill any vibe.
Overall, it was a good experience. Nice view niice ares lounge not busy nor crowded drinks well made only issue was the food limited at the rooftop whereas the meals from the restaurant downstairs in the hotel and the wings we ordered at the lounge was overly salty.
I had the best time trying the food and drinks here than I've had at any rooftop in Charlotte so far. It was my first time hereThe views were exceptional. Best views in the city for sureI had the Chorizo egg rolls and the Tuna tartare tacos and both were deliciousDefinitely a great experienceA second order of egg rolls were ordered just bc they were that goodThey have great music and great vibes.Thank you for the great hospitality
Le Meridien and it’s rooftop CloudBar were a big hit for us. We traveled to Charlotte and booked a weekend stay for my husband’s birthday. We were shown an amazing time and excellent service for the duration of our trip. We even got our room upgraded due to my husband’s Platinum Ambassador Elite status so we stayed in a Junior suite. The room was absolutely massive with elegant decor and a pristine view of the Charlotte Skyline. I urge everyone to enroll in Marriott’s Bonvoy membership because the points definitely have perks. We even had access to a special lounge where we could enjoy snacks and breakfast in a quiet setting. On the big night of my husband’s party we gathered at CloudBar on the rooftop. Such a gorgeous setting to celebrate. The lounging area was large with plenty of comfortable seating and the food was quite tasty. We really loved the curtain of bacon and my husband’s burger was cooked exactly how he liked it. The tequila selection was also quite deep so the shots poured freely for our guests while we partied. This hotel is a shining example of service and we certainly would book here again.
I attended the 2023 New Years Eve Party. What a waste of $150.00. There were so many things that ruined the night for me. The food was terrible: Everything was cold because they did not use steaming pans, the "DJ" just plain sucked, he did not play for the crowd. He was the only one dancing. No one (meaning the bar staff) counted down the New Year. The bar was not decorated for the occasion and to make matters worst no one bothered wiping down the tables or chairs out on the rooftop. The only thing that made the night worth it was the Hotel Room and the Hotel Staff. They were very friendly and demonstrated great customer service. Yes I would stay at the hotel again, but the Cloud Bar was not impressive at all, I won't be doing that again.
We had a great date night here. Beautiful view and highly recommended the brussels and the burger. A bit pricey but the atmosphere makes you feel like a millionaire. We went as soon as they opened to make sure we saw the sunset. Service was good too but the sink sensor in the women's restroom could use adjusted. Overall, happy we got to visit!
I love a rooftop bar and the view from the 18th floor of the Meridian Hotel didn’t disappoint but on a chilly Friday night the lack of outdoor heaters did. Nevertheless, the DJ was great! TIP: The enclosed portion is small with limited seating so skip this spot on a rainy day
Cloud Bar is the only rooftop bar I found in Charlotte that is not exclusively 21+. I am not one to bring children to a bar nor am I out to spoil an adult night out. We were celebrating my 6 yr old's birthday and she wanted to see The City. Children are permitted at Cloud Bar from 5pm-8pm. Thank you, Cloud Bar for welcoming us and allowing me to make birthday wishes come true for a 6 yr old. That staff was friendly, the drinks were excellent, the service was great. The best rooftop view of the city.
8/27/22I'd actually never heard of this restaurant until I went however it was really nice. The first thing I noticed was the absolutely breathtaking view of the city during the sunset. I had to keep getting pictures of it because it just kept getting better. I went with 3 other ppl and we ordered about half of the menu. I love chicken wings and their wings did not disappoint however the burger on the English muffin.... listen GET IT because it did not disappoint!! Even the lobster roll was tasty. The drinks were very well made and not watered down. Our waitress was very thorough in helping us navigate what we wanted and even helped to relocate us when it looked like it was going to rain. When it didn't she offered to help us move back on the patio. There was adj that was setting up a we were leaving, hate we missed it but I would definitely come back.

I went to their "Rose Fest" event on 8/20 and it was the most lame, most over-priced, and unorganized event I have ever spent money on! It was $45 per ticket - with the event description saying you get 7 wines and passed hors d'oevres on the cool, hip rooftop of the Le Meridien Hotel in Uptown Charlotte. We did not get 7 roses, we got 4 (and the slightest sip of each, you could hardly say it was a "tasting") - all of which were piss warm and not good (I'm a rose drinker and they are ALWAYS chilled!). The "passed hors d'oevres" was a make-shift buffet line for people to get a plate and grab a melted deviled egg to munch on - which, were picked over and pretty much gone by the time I got there. Not to mention the fact that a 20% gratuity was added (which I didn't authorize) to my already WAY OVERPRICED ticket to the event. All that to say, I will not be dining or drinking at Cloud Bar again any time soon unless this is received with an over abundance of exceptional customer service...
My 50th birthday spot! Quaint and quiet, unexpected but welcomed. The view was absolutely beautiful. And yes, I am a native Charlottean! Loved seeing my city lit! The service, meh. Waitress took forever, forgot orders then charged group gratuity that she didn't desrve. They lost a star for that. Food was pricey but wonderful! Good times...
Roof top is mediocre at best. The alcohol drinks are watered-down and way over priced. Our party swore we didnt get alcohol in our dranks. We were charged a gratuity and then a service charge on top of taxes. The staff is less than friendly and slow. My recommendation would be to go somewhere else.
First off other reviews voiced concerns with the service which made me wary but I went two weeks ago and the service was fine. We came early to avoid rush time. For a bar on the 18th floor of a nice hotel you have certain expectations. For one, higher prices than a normal bar. That's fine it's expected. One would also expect decent food, drinks and plating. I would say Cloud Bar falls short on this. Was not expecting plastic forks and plates at this price range and my friends plastic plate came a little dirty and she had to wipe it off. The food came out cold which can be expected during the current staffing issue going around but it wasn't too busy when we came. I don't mind cold pizza but overall the food we got was highly priced but not that great just ok. The cocktails were average as well which is sad when you compare that fact to their prices. After one I just got a Heineken and enjoyed that more. They boast a 360 degree view but you only the cityline view is worth looking at and there's many seating towards that side. Also most seats were right next to very loud speakers. I can say I did have fun here but that's more indicative of the people I went with rather than the bar. It was definitely nice to see the view and take pictures once but I'd recommend Aura for a good rooftop experience even if it's not as high up.
Honestly speaking, I’d really only go here for the view of CLT. Other reviews say the service was bad, but it was alright when I went. The mocktail was okay that they made, but I’ve definitely had better. They gave us plastic utensils and plates which was kind of cheap looking imo… The music speakers were kind of loud so it was hard to hear the people I was with, but the songs themselves were pretty good! It was p empty for a Saturday night so there wasn’t much of a wait. Food was okay but again, I’ve had better. Some of it was cold when it arrived ??♀️ overall, I'd rather go to a different rooftop bar lol
