The almond croissants are heavenly! In December, experience the gingerbread men & gingerbread macaroons so decadent & delightful! We come into Charlotte from Gastonia & it is extremely worth the drive! We truly enjoy the Pain Au Levain to take home to enjoy Copain for the remainder of the week! Copain is a spectacular bakery, boulangerie with its beautiful cafe! This is a delightful place! Come check it out and take some bread to go!

Incredible pastries. They are doing baking right. It is clear there is a lot of effort and expertise put into each dish. The cherry cheesecake danish was absolutely perfectly flaky and soft, not too sweet. The crust of the spinach feta quiche was top notch. Highly recommend.

Pastries are pretty good, though pricy. The coffee is lousy. It tastes cheap, closer to gas station coffee than a proper bistro. In terms of service, it could use some work. Not efficient and there is one employee who's vibe I did not care for. From looking through the comments, it looks as though others have had a less than great experience with the same person.

Delicious Baked Goods Savory & Sweet❣️ The Employees Who Work There Were Very Helpful & Welcoming❣️ The Wonderful Manager Checked In On Us, To See If Everything Was To Our Liking❣️ This Place Is Top Notch‼️ Just Yummy❣️😋❤️
Yum! Got a salad, the chicken salad, and three pastries. The salad with seasonal vegetables and champagne vinaigrette was so tasty and made whole with a few spoons of chicken salad on top. My young toddlers tore through the chicken salad leftovers when I got home! The pastries were all tasty, though as some reviewers mention these items are refrigerated so it's best to set out to come to room temp before you enjoy. The croissant with all the caramelized sugar was my fave. The cookie after a quick zap in the microwave was tasty but not necessarily the best in town. Workers were friendly. Would love to sample a coffee another day.
Dietary restrictions: I saw tree nuts, so if you're allergic be sure to ask questions.

Had a cappuccino with a hazel nut éclair and it was definitely worth every single penny.
The experience is much more than just coffee.
Their picture-perfect pastries are worth putting on a wallpaper.
Everyone behind the counter was really nice and ready to help.

Love their almond croissants. Great sourdough and I’ve liked all the scones and galettes I’ve tried.

The female working the Sunday 1:30pm shift at the register is rude and disrespectful. Acts like a 5 year old. Has zero maturity.

I love this place! They have the best cappuccinos and all of their gluten-free muffins and desserts are incredible! Their sausage, egg and cheese biscuits are also to die for!
Dietary restrictions: They offer several gluten-free food options as well as dairy-free alternatives for coffees!

Their pastries are quite good. That's what I keep coming back for but their service is making it difficult to not go to a different cafe. I don't think I've been there one time when they haven't messed something up with my order. Even worse, at one point they handled my pastry bare handed. They need to train the staff much much better. Speaking of "cafe", I do not recommend their coffee at all. It's really bad. Just go to Summit coffee in the Piedmont Town Center nearby for coffee. I really hope their service improves because I do like their pastries.

Sour dough whole wheat bread. The problem is this rating system only goes up to five star. I’ve had better bread only three places that I remember - Bouley’s bread cart in NYC , Per Se and a French restaurant in St. Martin on the French side of island that had dinner rolls with a firm crust and the softest center.
