A lot of people are down on this place because of the health ratings. Sometimes though you just have to see a place for yourself.

They’ve got the best NYC style 1/2 chicken and beef fried rice in Charlotte. I was amazed by the flavoring in the chicken and rice. Their fried crab sticks are amazing too. I also liked their shrimp rolls but they could fry it a bit more crispy because it’s too soggy with oil

I’ll be back to try more things on the menu, but for now this is my new Chinese place.

Both times I went the front end people were very courteous.

I accidentally ordered the orange chicken instead of the sesame. Well I'm allergic to oranges and my throat started feeling a little tight after my 12th spoonful. Even with this going on, I had to force myself to not eat more of my chicken. Food is fire, 10/10 would recommend.

Ordered from Uber Eats and the delivery was pretty fast. Tried the Bento box (shrimp and “chicken”). I wouldn’t purchase anything chicken from the restaurant because I’m pretty sure it’s not chicken and they give it by the boat loads. More than likely won’t be ordering from here again.

despite the negative reviews and past problems.. this restaurant really does work hard to provide good food to the community despite being in a location that makes it hard to work in peace. not too many places offer take out chinese past 10:30 pm. but here you can. keep up the great work guys it doesnt go unnoticed ?

Roaches on walls should tell it all! Roaches around the place like we're the nuisance. Nope. Never again. There's been a report out that the place should be closed. Place looks dirty, they need to clean the nook & crannies and get an exterminator.

Always hot and fresh food. And ready quickly. I reccomend.

Excellent service! Very large portions and very good value, always come back to Cottage resturaunt. The burgers are good too!

Health inspectors found live roaches in and around a meat grinder; more roaches were in potato starch and flour bulk bins and on prep tables, and a dead roach was found on a cutting board that was actively being used by an employee.
