I find that the experience at Cracker Barrel can vary from one location to the next. After traveling for most of the morning, I brought my family here for lunch. I ordered some chicken tenders and fries, and I was sorely disappointed. The chicken was dry, and the fries were overcooked. My son enjoyed his grilled cheese sandwich (his fries were burnt too). I tried a classic favorite the chicken fried chicken, with mash potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Mash potatoes were cold and tasted like it came from the box. No taste. The rest of the meal was ok. I wish they offered a variety of hot teas like lemon ginger or jasmine.

While overall I still like Cracker Barrel, I really feel like it's gone down hill. The flavor of the food is still good but half the time it's cold. Service isn't as good as it used to be. But, price and such is doable.
