Just stopped by Crispy Banhmi for a drink, opted for the honeydew milk tea. The customer service was mediocre at best; the cashier seemed tired and wanted to go home. As a sweets fan, I found the honeydew milk tea a tad too sweet, and the honeydew flavor had a slight perfumey note. I added ice to the cup when I got home to tone down the sweetness, and it was still sweet! My friend had the Vietnamese coffee. The coffee flavor was strong, but it was a nice balance of bold coffee and sweetness. Not the best, I prefer Nguyen's milk tea and coffee compared to this place.

Not staffed, took so long to get a simple order done- waited over 20 minutes for two veg bahn mi and two veg rolls. When my husband went to check. The lady said rudely " we are kind of busy" in a firm tone. No apologies for the wait or anything. This was horrible behavior. You earn thru your customers, least they can show basic respect and courtesy .

Tried getting a refund for the sandwich they never delivered. Restaurant said i.had to contact ChowNow to get refund and got.nowhere. Beware, if something goes wrong with.your order or delivery, good luck getting a refund!

I am writing to update my last review. This time I came in person to place an order. It's conveniently located right off 485 on the S Tryon exit. Inside, the cafe is small but intimate and decorated with simple light fixtures and wall art. During my visit, although there were a few to-go orders, there were no dine-in customers so the place looked very dead. Order: cold cut, chicken, and beef banh mi. The service was fast. Waited maybe 5 mins for my order. Presentation - they match all the other banh mi places. Sliced baguette stuffed with meat of choice and topped with cilantro, pickled carrots/daikon, cucumbers and jalapeños. Taste - crispy and flavorful. The difference between Crispy banh mi and other banh mi places around Charlotte; generous amount of veggies, jalapeños and cucumber both de-seeded, longer baguette, and bagged in a nice paper bag. It's the little details that stand out for me. Taking the extra time to remove the seeds from the jalapeños decrease the spiciness level and from the cucumbers the sogginess. This also helps the veggies keep longer in the fridge. And the paper bag is a fancier touch compared to a plastic bag.

It was good but the meat was dry and just warmed in the microwave. I wonder if I went earlier in the day, maybe it would be fresher. The cashier was so kind and helpful - she would explain the whole menu to me. The man preparing food in the back waved and was kind as well. I asked for extra meat and glad I did, I would suggest this. The bread is crusty and buttery. The sandwich would be dry without it. Overall, good but I would come back and try it earlier in the day. So ask for extra sauce and meat! The veggies tasted fresh and paired well on the sandwich.

The young girl that took the order was very snobby and rude. I ordered a vegetarian roll that costed 5$, and all it had was lettuce. She also forgot to add my drink, and did not give any napkins. The young girl was not welcoming, was trying to be smart by over-explaining with talking down type of attitude, did not Thank us, and had a snobby smile.
She made my role with only lettuce that took 10 minutes. Will never go back to this place. There are many places around the area that are welcoming, not overcharge for 10oz of lettuce calling that vegetarian role, and would want out business. Disappointed.

This establishment consistently pumps out a great product. I come all the way from Columbia, SC for their Banh Mi Sandwiches and especially the Fried Quail. The service is great and the food is delicious. I wish we had one in Columbia that dedicated. Maybe someday.

I’ve been ordering from Crispy Banh Mi since summer started and I’ve tried to let it go but today is my last straw with the girl that works up front at the location in Ayrsley Town. She never greets you as you come in the door and she doesn’t seem to want to answer to any questions, ever. One time she actually hung up the phone without saying anything! I’m a manager at a buffet, I understand how customers can be but I’m just letting y’all know you’ll lose your money by allowing a child who don’t know customer service work there. Only 2 stars cause the food. But SERVICE IS TERRIBLE

The food is pretty fantastic. The veggies are always fresh and go super well on the banh mi. I highly suggest making an order ahead, as their service tends to be extremely slow. On more than one occasion I’ve waited upwards of 30 minutes for a pork banh mi.

I am in town for work and figured I'd grab lunch from here because it used to be one of my favorite places... honestly I would have canceled my order had I seen the condition of the restaurant before I had it in my hands. This place is DIRTY. The dining room itself is unkept from the tables down to the floor but the bathroom was alarming, to say the least. There's no way it's been cleaned in at least weeks. The floors are sticky and gross, the benches are dirty, the counter where you order is black and marked up. It's pretty disgusting.And the chicken was soooo dry. What a waste of $18.
