Cost of just okay meal was excessive. Good service but food cost was high. I understand that it is popular with expense account type
Sean manages a great restaurant. Malachi was a great server. The food, as always, was wonderful! This spot is in my top 5 places to eat in Charlotte.
Excellent food, service, & sports bar vibe. Appetizers & entrees were delicious. Overall experience A+.
Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and while my dish wasn't piping hot like the other guests, it was still acceptable. My only real disappointment was the lack of acknowledgment regarding the birthday we were there to celebrate, despite it being noted twice on the reservation. In recent visits to other restaurants, the staff has made thoughtful gestures - such as signing a card. Which, while not expected, added a memorable touch. I wasn't looking for anything elaborate, but even a simple acknowledgment of the occasion or a warm inquiry about what brought us in would have elevated the experience considerably.
Space was a lot bigger than expected. Nice ambiance with live small band. Great service. Brussel Spouts appetizer was my favorite and the cheese fondue with pretzels was good and very nice size to share! Had one of their cocktails on their menu. Not impressed. Expexted a bit more from food and drink menu since they said everything was made fresh. Had the steak bites with fries. Steak was seasoned delicious. Fries need work. Nice plece overall. Would recommened.
This was my first visit to Culinary Dropout. I was with a group of girlfriends and we were 7 in total. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming. The cocktails were great and the salad I ordered was so yummy! The portion sizes were generous and the leftovers were almost a full second meal. I thought the menu had lots of choices and variety. My only complaint was that the service was a little slow but, to be honest, I did not pay attention to how busy the restaurant was so it could have been a factor with the pace of the service. I will definitely try this place again and it seems like a good venue for large groups which is often hard to find.
The live performance was nice, but it was a bit too loud. I don't like yelling during dinner to talk to the people I am dining with. I had fish and chips. Fish was delicious but the chips had the consistency of sitting out for too long.
The service was incredibly slow, both for food and drinks. Our table of seven waited ages for our meals, and they didn't even put in the order for three of our guests. It took nearly half an hour after the first dish arrived for the rest of the table to get their food. My meal was cold by the time everyone else was served because I'd politely waited to eat. When the final dish (a simple salmon salad) finally came out, the salmon was undercooked and half inedible, clearly rushed to make up for the delay. The incredibly slow and bad service was surprising given that the restaurant seemed adequately staffed. It was honestly stunning how disorganized the service was. The manager came by with a half-hearted apology, but all they did was remove the one inedible dish from the bill. It's disappointing because I really wanted to like this place, but this was easily my worst dining experience of the year. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.
Our first time but really enjoyed it. We ate outside as the weather was nearly perfect. The food and service was great as well. We will most likely be back in the near future.
Waited almost 30 minutes for a drink after asking 4 different times. Waited 45 minutes for food

We had such a fantastic time. We had a great view of the city. Everyone was so upbeat and kind. We even had a little issue with our food and they were so gracious about it. We will definitely be going back. There were so many other things on the menu I wanted to try and the drinks were fabulous.
First time trying this place and everything about it was great! Service was good, food was flavorful and atmosphere chill. Will be back again when in Charlotte.
I took my sister there for a birthday dinner. The food was very bland. We didn't finish and we didn't pack it to go. There was live music playing and that was fine, but it was so loud we could not have a conversation at our table without yelling. The server told me what I ordered was a new menu item added that day, but that didn't excuse the overall experience. I may return to try the bar or have lunch, but dinner service there needs help. In closing, someone in my dinner party asked for the drink substitution, they came back with the drink without a straw. When I asked for a straw he came back with an unwrapped straw in his naked hand. Of course we didn't use it. That's when we decided to leave.
Great experience! We split a wide range of apps and had some drinks. All were delicious and came out promptly. Our server DJ was amazing too! Very friendly staff!
Business lunch today. Three different salads and water. Each salad great. A bit noisy though.
