I recently ordered the lamb korma, which had a spice level of 8, and the goat biryani, set at a spice level of 7, along with a side of naan. Overall, the food was wonderful! I truly enjoyed the lamb korma, especially its creamy coconut flavor—it's incredibly tasty! I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try; I think you'll love it just as much as I did!

My wife and I had dinner at the Matthews location. We were pleased with the food and service. Our host Bikesh was very helpful and knowledgeable which made our selection process so simple. I will definitely return soon, and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant to any and everyone who wants to have a fine meal with good hospitality.

Ordered Butter Paneer and Naan, the food was hot and very good. Mango lassi is probably the best I’ve ever had. It’s a lot of food for the price.

Ordered online Manchurian Dry and Samosa Chaat.
Manchurian balls were uncooked from inside, felt like eating ball of dough.
Samosa chat was missing chutneys or it had barely had any, i am eating samosa chaat with Manchurian sauce.
Asked for refund from uber eats for Manchurian dry, lets see if they will give.

I have been going to the South Boulevard location for years, but recently moved to uptown so this location is much more convenient. The quality is exactly the same. Excellent. When I first moved to Charlotte I tried 7-10 Indian restaurants in my first month or so, trying to establish my go to spot. Curry Gate is hands down the best Indian food in Charlotte.
Do not let the modest building fool you. Every curry I have tried is top tier. Whether you get paneer, lamb, goat, or chicken, it is all terrific. My go to order these days is Vindalu Lamb, spicy level 8 or 9. It is always delicious and is actually a pretty spicy dish. I don’t believe there is a dine in area here, if there is, it is very limited so plan for takeout. The service at the counter is always great and easy.
If there is any knock I could find it might be the naan. It is just a bit dry and doesn’t have much butter or garlic if you get those options. I had this issue at the South Boulevard location(which offered dine in), but their naan was significantly better when you ate in the restaurant as opposed to take out. It is not bad by any means and I still order it every time I come here. But that would be the only thing I could suggest improving upon.
Bottom line: if you haven’t gone to curry gate, go to curry gate!

Tasty and deliciously spiced Nepal Indian food. The portions are very generous. They have a spice level 1-10 so you can get exactly the spice (or no spice) you want. Level 4 is a perfect medium in my opinion.
Samosa chaat portion was so generous I couldn’t finish it and it’s just a starter. Chickpeas in every bite, yum! Chicken 65 Biryani is such a good value, they put Chicken 65 and regular chicken from the biryani rice. I’ve never seen this before in any Indian restaurant. Usually you’re lucky to get 3-4 pieces of chicken. This is like a starter and a main combined. Great deal. Mango lassi is creamy, fresh and not at all acidic. Nepal chicken momos also tasty but the chicken filling could use more salt/coriander powder in my opinion. Dipping sauce is very tasty and somewhat makes up for this.
Service is very attentive and friendly. If you’re looking for a relaxed Indian restaurant with value, this is definitely the place.
