I want to like this place so badly, but it keeps over and over again failing us. We live close so we will probably give it another chance. Tonight was it's 3rd "second chance". My husband ordered a San gerrano and a cheese. The cheese was like crust, cheese, and then only a drizzle of sauce then COVERED in oregano. Definitely not normal cheese pizza and honestly pretty gross. He specifically asked about normal cheese vs margherita for our 3 yr old and she was with him in person. Margherita would have been better but the last 3 times it's been very inconsistent. For our other pizza they put mushrooms on it when they weren't supposed to. The constant mess ups here honestly have me surprised they are still open. I keep hoping it gets better bc when it's good and not messed up it really is pretty solid. The customer service issues and the food mess ups are just acceptable.

Retraction Spoke w/the assistant manager about Monday’s experience she apologized and empathized with my experience. She also recognized my name from previous orders. Just want to say thank you 😊 ☺️

Some of the best pizza 🍕 I ever had. Very fresh. Service is relatively quick. Plenty of seating and in a great Waverly location. A bit pricy, otherwise I would give it a five star. Oh, they have a bar with an adequate beer selection too.

This pizzeria clearly doesn't know how to make pizza in a wood-fired oven; it always comes out burnt with charred crusts. I've been to this pizzeria about six times in total, and every time, the result is the same – burnt pizza. On the other hand, there are other pizzerias in Charlotte that cook their pizza in a wood-fired oven, and theirs always turns out great, delicious, and not burnt.

Ordered 2 large pizzas in the restaurant to go, which were more expensive than prices in the online menu. It was not too busy but it took 1hr15min to cook (seems like our order was forgotten). We patiently waited and at the end got something that was closer to medium size (just an inch above the medium). Previously this place had good service and good food but I don't think we'll come here again. Disappointing.

Went for music bingo every week, it brought a lot of people in and was a fun time bringing everyone together! Really disappointing that they decided to stop it, the DJ was great. It was the only reason we went because it’s a fun time. Service/food subpar otherwise

No more name that tune. Lost half their customers by axing that alone, their service will lose the rest.

We just ordered 9 pizzas to go and found at least 7 of them burned! Will not go back again. There are enough other pizza restaurants in the area!! By the way the owner tried to imply that they were charred and not burnt. We’ve had their pizza multiple times…these were burnt!

Food is gone downhill recently...new ownership I heard? Toppings are skimpy and not to the edge...so lots of crust with nothing in it. Thirsty as hell after it too...all 3 of my family. I'll go elsewhere.

Met the owner on our way out of DeSanos after our weekly Name that Tune outing with family and friends. He was very polite and wanted genuine feedback on how Name That Tune had been going ever since DJ Jonah @DJonthehalfshell started working there. Well here is my genuine feedback, Scott. This was a monumental night of the week for us. We canceled plans. We raced home from work. We studied and prepped for next week’s theme. We came ready and engaged to beat every other team and take home the winning prize. Do you know how many songs I know now, Scott? What am I supposed to do with all this knowledge? Now it’s all gone to waste. I’m just going to be naming that tune for years on the radio with no team, no competition, and no take home prize. Our cleaning lady met us there for Tuesday’s Name that Tune. She’s 78 years old, Scott. When are we ever going to see her again? What kind of plans do families and cleaning ladies have in common, Scott? Music. That’s what we had in common. And now it’s been stripped away from us. Each week, each Tuesday, only the memories of DJ Jonah’s voice, laughter, and music will remain. Only to be followed by a somber feeling of nostalgia and the thought of never getting those memories back again. Thanks a lot, Scott.

I tried their pizza, and it was burnt to a crisp. It wasn't even close to being like real Italian pizza.
