Just tried the Beef & Bean Burrito Bake and it was delicious. Not sure how they deliver so much scrumptious food at this price point. No way I could buy it and make at home from scratch. Nor could I prepare it so well.

I popped in there yesterday before going into Trader Joes. So glad I did! I picked up a quick, easy, delicious dinner for my family and the chicken salad for lunch - everything was outstanding and prices are extremely reasonable. Friendly people too. Check it out!

My son and his wife were bringing home their new baby and I wanted them to have a warm, comforting dinner ready for them. I was staying at an AirBnb and didn't have access to a kitchen. I found DeSarnos on Yelp and thought I'd give it a try. I ordered them the family meal deal - it was large, it probably could have fed the tired couple and all four grandparents, but I wanted them to have leftovers. It was around $60, not bad to feed 6 I ordered the lasagna and got the mozzarella and salami salad and garlic green beans. It also came with a tossed salad and small loaf of focaccia. The happy couple absolutely loved it! Each of them told me three times how good it was. They were excited to have leftovers. While DeSarnos doesn't have a gigantic menu, there are definitely enough choices to satisfy everyone. Most of the meals are frozen - you pick them up from the large freezers along the wall. The instructions say to defrost - I wonder if you can cook from frozen, I'd have to ask. The salads are fresh in a deli case by the register. There are several dessert options that looked awesome. DeSarnos isn't very far from the kid's home. I hope they take advantage of it and give themselves a much deserved break from cooking.

I have been a customer since the first week they opened and I love this place! The products they sell are excellent and I find it very convenient to stop in and buy a home made dinner all ready to go! I am also a huge fan of their lunch items -- I love the soups, salads and focaccia. The pre-prepared meals on the menu include pasta and meat dishes, fish, chicken pot pie and quiches. Everything tastes like it's homemade, and I love their selection of olive oils and wines. They even sell cute little dishes and cookbooks. The owners and staff are always very pleasant and professional. Highly recommend.

I don't mind spending more money on take out but it has to be good. The food was ok but not as good as what I make. I would expect professional chefs to exceed in their flavors. They're Italian entrees lacked flavor and authenticity. I grew up on Long Island, NY and know good Cooking.

I have been a regular here , since 2018 . The food is made on premise, with love & most are from the Two Owners family recipes . It's homemade goodness. The service is always with a smile; they will know your name and it feels like family. Get into Piper Glen and try out this wonderful gem. Their on- line system is great for big or small orders; enables one to run in and grab dinner , dessert or catered bigger meals. We have used them for large gatherings at home and for take away meals for an easy peasy beach weekend . DeSarnos is FABULOUSLY GREAT !! ( not a paid spokeswoman, but a true patron )
Picked up the Wednesday special because I'm a huge eggplant Parmesan fan but was really disappointed. The dish had so little flavor! I never would have guessed it contained eggplant at all. And the focaccia that went with it had the texture of Parker house rolls. Edible but not in the least like real focaccia. I won't be going back.

I been in Charlotte for 13 years, had no idea this place existed. Lord, the rice balls are delicious!! Also ordered the eggplant parmigiana and it was so good. Had the chicken piccata the next day and it was delicious…. The prices are reasonable and the best part is heat and eat…I will definitely be going back… can’t wait until next week to get a few meals….

I tried the lasagne and penne with vodka sauce with chicken and both were phenomenal and reasonably priced. You do have to take these frozen meals home, defrost, bake and then eat tho so don't expect to buy it and immediately eat it. I can't wait to try more

I learned about this place from an Instagram giveaway I won.Covid-19: I believe you can order and pay online. I had to go in to get my gift card though, so I just picked out my stuff there. I've noticed an increasing trend where businesses think they don't need to wear a mask if they aren't in an area customers can get to. They would put on a mask while checking you out, but the people in the back (which is just a couple of feet further away through an open door), didn't wear masks.Now for the food. They offer pre-made meals that are frozen and ready to go for you. It's mostly Italian. They also have some sides that are fresh and need to be eaten within a week. Everything comes packaged with reheating instructions.They have meal deals which come with an entree, side salad, and bread for $20. The entree changes daily. I got one of these with chicken scampi, artichoke salad, and foccacia. I also got a small chicken rustica, single serve stuffed shells, stuffed mushroom, and arancini.Most things were very good. The sides (stuffed mushroom and arancini) were our favorite things. They were so flavorful.I also really liked the chicken rustica dish. The sauce was delicious. Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry and not good. Luckily, there wasn't much of it. The artichoke salad and foccacia were both pretty good.The stuffed shells may have been our favorite pasta dish. They were so cheesy and delicious. I wish they had had more marinara, but they didn't need it.The chicken scampi was not good though. The chicken here was also very dry and flavorless. The dish as a whole just didn't really have any flavor. It seemed like they forgot to put the sauce on.Overall, this is a great option for easy meals. We ordered Christmas dinner from DeSarno’s for our family this past year. We wanted to enjoy our time together, rather than spend time in the kitchen cooking.We ordered the garlic rosemary beef tenderloin, scalloped potatoes, garlic bacon brussel sprouts, smoked Mac and cheese bites, and an apple pie. Everything was delicious and really easy to warm. I highly recommend the garlic rosemary beef with the horseradish sauce and the apple pie (paired with ice cream) was a total treat! Thank you guys for a delicious and easy Christmas dinner!
