To hear that an employee was disrespectful to someone dealing with a car issue is completely disgraceful. A very long, drawn out, and cheap apology was given in hopes of sweeping this incident under the rug which does not suffice for the fact that this employee should have been terminated for their actions. I wouldn’t be surprised if this employee does this again due to this “pat on the hand” they received. The young lady was clearly vulnerable and in distress and let’s be honest this isn’t the first story of a black person being mistreated in this area. I and many others will spread the word of this company and how they blatantly allow their employees to disrespect others.
Use to live in noda and to hear that a black woman who was in distress and trying to go home after her car broke down getting treated terrible and no help from bar thats subpar at best and only had two patrons at the time is disgusting, disrespectful, and inhumane… the fact you would treat dogs better than human life is insane… i recommend not supporting this business… shut it down if this is how you treat people
Not POC Friendly by any means.
We had a cocktail that was very well made. Our bartender was so friendly and personable! The other customers were additionally friendly. We had a great time chatting with everyone without feeling pressure to do so. This was one of the first times that my dog has been around new dogs in a very long time. Everybody understood and the dogs were so well behaved. I was so overjoyed to have this experience and I adored all of the amazing Dogs!

Chill place to bring your dog! The owner is friendly and makes sure the dogs stay out of trouble. I’m a new dog owner so I’m still learning how to be the best dog dad I can be and so my dog is less disciplined than he probably should be. He barks at the little dogs and causes a big ruckus. The clients and owner were all helpful and non judgmental when I asked the best practices when it comes to training. All in all, it’s a fantastic place and your pup will love the company as well!

Let's call this A Tale of Two Cities: Last Sunday the 13th of Oct, we had an amazing first experience with your dog bar. Great service, amazing bartender, and several happy pet parents thrilled to have this venue!
However, yesterday, just one week later, we had a WAAAY different experience.
Before even entering through the fence, we were aggressively greeted immediately by the unknowledgeable, young bartender who is very full of herself. (It's one thing to politely say no kids allowed, as some stated throughout the day, another thing ALTOGETHER to be so rude, and snooty, and oblivious to others' emotions --those PAYING, patronizing, and actually creating the revenue.
We have two dogs, a Samoyed and a Rottweiler. The Rottweiler is barely 10 months old and she demanded he leave, not yet fixed. Thankfully, the actual manager or owner intervened, bringing actual wisdom to the situation.
Bottom line: this crabby bartender's chow mix seemed to share her same anxiety. There is a way to say any and everything. That's the point.
She, instead, continued talking over me and telling me how humping is a sign of dominance --NO REALLY?🙄
You don't even have to be a dog owner to know that basic knowledge.
Just a word of advice: Do not rudely speak down, or demanding or demeaning to those who pay the bills. There will eventually be a "For Sale" sign, if that continues.
Best to you!

F I V E stars for being a dog-friendly establishment! My pup is still in training, learning her manners, but we're enthusiastic, future frequenters!

Been here many times with my pup. Very chill. Simlle concept. Dog has a great time and the beers are cold. They're really going for local dive bar vibes here, which is cool and all, but I feel like the place could use the smallest of vibe upgrade. TVs could be on outside some lights at night, some music? The pup enjoys the socialization and we'll definitely come back, but just the smallest of tlc could go a long way imo

Was in town for Stings retirement and outside of that, going to this bar was the highlight of the vacation. Very nice staff, cheap drinks, and tons of cute dogs. The others I went with have talked repeatedly about how bad they want to go back to NC and this bar being a main reason for that.

This is the BEST place in the city! We dropped by to get some dog pets and it did not disappoint. Super friendly dogs and people. The bartender had a few dogs and they were all awesome and friendly. Highly recommend.
