Sorry to see this restaurant closing at the end of August. We've always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Had a wonderful duck breast dinner with good friends and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Have been several times before and had a good experience - but last night the food and drinks were coming out extremely slow (cocktails took about 35 minutes and when they arrived they were mediocre) and the food was meh. Fried oysters were over breaded, salads were soggy / lack luster, pork chop was inconsistently cooked throughout.

I enjoyed my meal. The fried oysters was delicious especially with the light breading fried and great flavor. The shrimp and grits was fast too. Food tasted fresh and hot. Service was great too.

We have loved having Dogwood as our neighborhood go to restaurant for a nice date night. I am so sad to see them leave. Food has been so consistent, wine recommendations are always good. We wish them well in their new venture but again, so sad to see them go.

My 1st time visiting this establishment, It did not disappoint. Went for restaurant week and selected from the prepared menu, which had a varied selection for what was offered. We had early reservations so the place was empty upon our arrival but quickly filled up. The waiter was attentive but not too much as to be intrusive, the food was came out timely and was fresh and very satisfying. Would go again

We loved it. The food was outstanding (the short ribs amazing) and the service was terrific. The host Michelle visited out table twice to check on us and our server Alyssa was also very attentive. The restaurant group that manages Dogwood certainly knows what they are doing.
Paid for Chefs experience, which I have been to numerous times and this time the chef never came over one time to present any course. Terrible experience and they said they had just sold the restaurant and it was clear the staff did not care. Unfortunately we shared concern with the staff and they acted as if they weren't empathetic in any way. Very sad to see the decline!
A must-do! Can't believe they will be closing in about a month. I've known about this place for years, but never made the effort to get here until tonight. My loss! Everything from the moment we arrived, through the entire meal, until we were leaving was fantastic. Delightful cocktails, delicious food and perfect service from Jasmine made it a wonderful evening.

I travel around the country for work and always research the dining hot spots wherever I go. I had attended Napa on Providence, Supperland and Dogwood. Dogwood was by far my best experience! The chef Lance at Dogwood was very engaged and his dishes were on point! Excellent value for all the amazing things you get to try! I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Charlotte!
We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, perfect portion sizes and just insanely tasty, can't emphasize that enough. Also- they were sweet enough to bring out complimentary champagne for us. We were celebrating getting courthouse married before our destination wedding and they made this mini celebration extra special with their great attitude and service. I believe our server's name was Josh (sorry if I'm wrong!) and he did a great job making sure everyone down to our little niece was well taken care of, even making her a “chi-mosa” (OJ & ginger ale). Everyone left full and happy.

This has been on the list of places to go in Charlotte for a while. I was just waiting on the right occasion and I wasn't disappointed. The bartenders were friendly and fast. The food was prepared timely. The overall experience was good. I will definitely go back as there were plenty of dishes that sounded good but I couldn't order them all. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food and service were excellent last night at Dogwoods. We felt a little rushed at the end as we were lingering over our coffee, which is why 4 starts not 5 for service. Looking forward to returning again soon.

Finally made it here to try the $5 burger special!Details: Mon-Fri from 5-6:30 pm in the bar area. $5 double patty “smash” burger and friesIt’s a good burger! The patties aren’t smashed thin enough to be a true smash burger.The fries could have been crispier, so next time I’ll be sure to request “extra crispy”

Outside seating was perfect! The service was great! Our waitress was there when we needed her and had excellent knowledge of food and food preparation. She checked with the kitchen to be sure food allergies would be avoided and offered assistance with proportions etc. It was a fun and relaxing evening.
