The food was good. The host staff were wonderful and very kind. We saw our waitress a total of maybe 2 times. Service was quite slow...we never received water refills, and also had gnats flying all around our table.

Food was amazing. There was an obnoxious party seated next to us that really took away from the experience, that's not on the restaurant though. We did share a waiter with that party, and they took up most his time, so we felt like we weren't getting great service and felt very rushed. But the food was incredible.

It is a small, understated environment, on the scale between casual and elegant, leaning toward casual but with linen tablecloths and napkins, a very respectable wine list (both by-the-glass and bottles), and superb food and service. It has the feel of a neighborhood spot, but it clearly draws from well outside Dilworth. All the dishes are excellent. Best chicken parmesan in Charlotte. Portions are generous. We've always gone for dinner, but they also have a lunch menu. Pretty easy to walk-in during the week, but you should reserve a table on the weekends. We love this place!
