Lovely local grocery and convenient lunch shop. I hate they are closing. I had a delicious goat cheese salad. They had very unique items on their menu and in their grocery area. Earl's Grocery 1609 Elizabeth Ave Charlotte, NC 28204 (Review 557 overall, 101 in 2021)

Nice employees and cooked to go or eat outside at tables

Had "The Gibson" chicken wrap for lunch yesterday. It was delicious! Not much room to sit inside, so be prepared to take-out your food. Lots of cool and unusual grocery items for sale here, too.

What a great little place. Stocked with many unique items and a great spot to grab a really quality lunch.

Very nice, clean, and organized local hometown family grocery store with an eatery. The prices are high as expected with single location stores like this one. I had the “Gibson Wrap” (grilled chicken) which was good. Fair amount of chicken that was sufficiently seasoned. Stefan had the Turkey sandwich which he enjoyed but would have liked the cheese a little softer. We tried the “Simply Gum Boost” which is a healthier alternative to chewing regular gum. The taste lasted about a minute. Server did not provide silverware or napkins nor was she aware of the food items available which goes to the much needed improvements with customer service. I’ll give them another try on a quick lunch but will probably not shop here.

I always love supporting local businesses and this adorable little grocery store is so convenient and has everything you need. Anything from premade dinners to quick lunches, frozen food, wine and A amazing super yummy bakery. Today I checked out their holiday special which was the rice crispy treat for Easter and it is in a adorable little egg shape it was so delicious the best rice crispy treat I've ever had! I definitely highly recommend!!!

Based on previous photos, the expansion of the grocery section provides the opportunity to stock some incredibly eclectic and interesting things. The pork fried rice was great, which unexpectedly had a good sized piece of well seasoned belly on it.

Down the tubes, bad choices and attitudes put this at bottom of the list. Will go down soon with the rest of the street

Nice spot for quick items and you don’t want to go into a large grocer.

Earl's Grocery is evolving more into a grocery store and unexpected prepared foods, today they had Coq au Vin, fresh green beans with shallots, potatoes Dauphinoise, gluten free cauliflower mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, chicken salad, sandwiches and salads. I checked the prices, everything is reasonable and you couldn't buy everything and cook these items for what they're charging. Of course, there's still the coffee and wine, you also can preorder and curbside pickup. Even WINE! There's also a really good bar/mixer display.

Delicious food as always. Can't wait to try the tofu dish as the tempura carrots were yummy. Wish you still had prepared salads and meal options. The case was practically empty and was rather disappointing. Trying the frozen Shepard's Pie for dinner tonight

The staff at Earl's are very helpful and super friendly, and among Earl's great selection of various sundries is an outstanding station stocked with everything you need to prepare your favorite cocktails at home!

I have been coming here since Earl open his stores..im one of the first and oldest customers he has .. I still buy my gas there and stop in to say hi .. One of the few gas stations you could buy gas during the 1970s gas shortage .. also great bbq sandwichs ..but we did miss the Xmas trees this year ..
