It's such a beautiful place! From the time we walked in the door, we saw this beautiful chandelier. Immediately, we were greeted and taken to our seat. The customer service was top tier, and our waitress was amazing. She answered all of our questions and a patient as we talked about 20 minis before we were ready to order. I had the HEAVENLY CRÊPE and it was lovely. Airy ,flavorful and filling, added a little extra salt, but that's because I enforce the taste of salt. The salad dressing was delightful. The way she explained them, I ordered 3! I can't remember the names, but 2 out of the 3 hit the spot.

We started with the Lemon Ricotta Blueberry pancakes and this was delicious. It was served with warm pure maple syrup. My cousin got the salmon benedict which came on a croissant rather than an english muffin and she said the croissant was really really good. I'm not a salmon person so I didn't try it but my cousin devoured it and said it was delicious. I had the southwest omelet but I added spinach and mushrooms. This was very hearty and delicious. My only complaint is that it came with breakfast potatoes and the potatoes were super dry on the inside which was disappointing because I love potatoes with my breakfast! the inside was super cute! and the staff was very attentive

Beautiful Ambiance, good food, paradise for egg and meat lovers. Not much vegetarian dishes. Service is slow.

We both had poached eggs with our meal, all four eggs were poached well. When we inquired if this was the norm, we were told sometimes. We felt the waitress should have inquired as to how we would like them cooked. My husband asked if he could substitute the potatoes for fruit. He was told yes, but that there would be an up charge, he said no problem. The coffee was another issue. We both had a $5 latte. When our cups were half empty we asked if they could be filled with coffee (not lattes). The waitress said sure and obliged. When the bill arrived, we were charged $3 for the coffee! My husband asked the manager for an explanation and was told, "They are different beverages, one is brewed coffee and the other is expresso". We were not informed by the waitress that there would be a charge, nor have we ever had that happen in other restaurants. The dining experience was disappointing.

Eggspectation always EXCEEDS my expectation! All of the servers are great, and the food is TERRIFIC! The prices are reasonable and you get more than enough food to eat. You will need a to go box! I'm grateful for this hidden gem that came to our area and will be a frequent customer!

So happy to come across this place for brunch. They have a great kids menu and my daughter loved her chocolate chip pancakes with marshmallows on them. I enjoyed some scramble eggs with their potatoes, sausage and French toast. The French toast was very spongy and tasty. I quite liked their potatoes as they came with some grilled onions and I love onions! The sausage was very good and my fiancé got the same plate as me except he got ham and that was delicious. The strawberry caramel waffle was also very tasty and they had such great selection of drinks and smoothies. I feel like you can't go wrong with this place. Service was great and in a good location with many other restaurants around.

Eggspectation exceeded initial expectations. Our server was wonderful. The weather was perfect to sit outside. They are still working out kinks like having enough staff. It looks like the wait list feature is now fixed which is needed. Allowing reservations for parties of 6 or greater is hopefully next. The wait without the wait list feature was a healthy hour. I was happy for the wait because it was past 12 and I could order off the lunch/dinner menu. I'm not a breakfast person so this was perfect. I had the shrimp and squid salad. I really enjoyed it. I'm not a fan of spice so it had just the right amount. It's listed as an appetizer but the portion was perfect for a light afternoon entree. Hubby was not thrilled w/how his scrambled eggs were cooked. Tropical paradise smoothly was wonderful. All in all the freshman outing was a success.

Ok - we wondered for awhile what was going to take the old Terrace Cafe's spot in B'tyne village. (RIP to those delightful Red Velvet waffles). Eggspectation has come in with some real beauty - the inside is nice and well lit/modern (unless it's sunrise time and you're in a blinding window seat, but you can't do anything about that). Trust me when I say, DO NOT question it if they ask you about the gooey bread. Just say yes. You'll thank me. Just like you thanked the first person who told you about those Texas Roadhouse yeast rolls. YUMMMMMMM. You gotta love a place that uses real maple syrup in just about everything. They bring you a hot bottle of it. My husband despises maple syrup, but he knows how happy it makes the rest of us. :) The food was tasty and fresh - the real bummer is the bill at the end. (You definitely pay premium Ballantyne pricing). We'lll keep this place in rotation albeit occasionally! $100 including tip for a party of 3. The poutine is good - and it's a solid mix of cheese, gravy and fried potatoes. Pretty sure I heard angels singing every time hubs took a bite. They are awesome about filling the coffee so you'll leave this place full and WIRED if you're the coffee w/breakfast type. Glad they're here and hope the prices don't do them in. I'd like to see them busier or it'll be hard to maintain rent!

Service was Eggcellent, ambiance( ate outside) inside LOUD! Competing people and music.. Wait time over 45 minutes, but in their defense it was St. Paddy's weekend.. Will need to go back during a week time.. Coffee was superior, black no sugar just cream ..Now food... Do ya want the good news or the bad news .. let's get the bad out of the way.. you know when you get a plate and know you should've sent it back.. ?? Eggs a la benedict, with prime rib PRICEY,but we waited so long ,what the heck! See the picture.. got 2 overcooked eggs, (how can you screw up poachedeggs when your restaurant's name is part of it?)on roast beef deli meat 4 slices!! A smooth hollandaise sauce came with it that saved the eggs a bit, and the roast beef, not at all prime rib, had an au jus that saved the cold over baked potatoes .Not impressed and rather saddened, make sure you ask the waiter before ordering so sadness does not overwhelm you. My err, should have returned it ( but after waiting close to an hour) and expected a waiter's "we're out of prime beef" remark, not received, that would have been awesome. Now to the good news.. Grand Manier french toast with strawberry and walnuts.. according to my guest it was superb the best she ever tasted , just as delicious as the photo!! Ample portion that even had a take home box. In all it was an eggsperience, but not great, as expected, food wise for time waited.. If you're not very hungry and have time to spend, over an hour to be seated and served, on a holiday weekend, reservations not taken, then please enjoy!

1. The food was superb. The crab and shrimp omelet had crab and shrimp in every bite and it was flavorful. I'm from Maryland and it stands up to any seafood omelet that I've ordered at home. Note that Maryland is home of the blue crab., and we know good seafood. There is something on the menu for everyone.2. The service was exceptional. We were seated immediately and didn't wait long for our server, Diane, to greet us. Diane has an awesome personality. She provided suggestions, was knowledgeabl of the menu, didn't take long to serve the food, and checked in on us without being irritating/intrusive.The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Tables and seating were comfortable, clean, and sufficiently spaced from other tables to deal with our COVID concerns.I truly enjoyed my dining experience at EGGSPECTATION ?Vegetarian options: The menu can be altered for vegetarians.
