Empire Pizza Mint Hill

My wife and I enjoy having a meal at Empire Pizza in Mint Hill ! Last night we got our usual on one half pepperoni and pineapple , and on the other ground beef and mushrooms! Yum yum !! We also started off with a salad with thousand island dressing that we shared ! Our meal was delicious, the servers were very attentive to our needs, and the noise level was ok for conversation between ourselves! If you have never tried Empire Pizza ,or if it’s been a while since you have eaten there…..then you owe it to those you love to pack up the car ,and head to Mint Hill for some good times and delicious food!

First timers here and absolutely loved this place! Atmosphere, food and incredible service. Jeremy was awesome!!! Can't wait to come back and check out the bar area:))

Staff is nice. Waitress was training. She needs a different trainer.
Garlic cheesy bread is a hogie roll with cheese on it for $7.50… I get inflation. But this is crazy. Pizza was bland.
Food runner didn’t ask if we needed anything else, had to wait to ask for condiments until server came around.
Drink refills were great. TVs are great.

You know it went poorly when your 13 year old apologizes to you for picking the restaurant and lets you know to choose the food next time lol! To start , the online order we went to pick up after notification it was ready was over looked after the cashier asked several times what I ordered. Once she did find my order the 12 piece wings were missing which meant they had to be recooked wihich took another 15 min of wait time. The 2 small pizzas we ordered were nothing special— not the worst just ok with a hint of bland. The garlic parmasean wings smelled good but otherwise the skin was soft and stretchy (no crisp anywhere) and tasted deprived of seasoning—inedible to be frank. I considered adding seasoning and placing wings in air fryer vs throwing $20 in trash. For now that’s on hold as writing this review takes precedence. Really not sure how they are so busy; maybe my experience is a one off but I will never know since I have no desire to repeat this disaster!

Upon coming into the restaurant, I was waiting for my husband to park and was going to get us a table, two young ladies behind the counter were talking , with no acknowledgment that I was there , no one else was in the lobby, waited for someone to seat us, and finally had to ask, are we supposed to seat ourselves? We were unsure since no one seemed interested in helping. Just seemed very unorganized and hurried for it not to be a full house. We had to ask for straws, food order wrong and waitress never came back and check on us until we were through. We ate the food anyway it was good. Just feel the service could have been much better. Holding guest hostage to check out is not ok. When we ask for the bill , that means we are ready to go, not wait another 15 mins then actually have to get up and ask someone to check us out. Not a good sign. Well we won’t be back. Thought we give it a try but not for us.

Fantastic experience for a large party-size, with a mix of adults and children… the food was excellent, and the service even better! Our waitress, Bethany, was amazingly accommodating and helpful. 10/10 …can’t wait to go again!
