My husband and I dined here this morning, and what a surprise. After the long drive in from Ohio we were pleasantly greeted by Ellery. (She is a Gem) We felt so welcomed in this charming restaurant. The customer service 5star and the food delicious. We also met Jackson, who made sure we left with a hot cup of coffee to go. Make sure if you are in the Area of University City N.C you stop in. You won’t be disappointed ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food wasn’t anything special. Coffee was bitter and grounds floating to the top. When we entered there were grits spilled on the ground by the doorway… still there when we left. Pretty gross. Don’t look up at the vents you’ll see the mold. Pretty atmosphere but save your time and money and cook at home.

First time here. We were in town for a wedding. The good thing about this place is lots of people were here eating. But the place is old - chairs has cracks in them, plastic glasses for my mimosa but not for my water, and needs plenty of renovation. Not the cleanest and the food was just ok. There were spilled grits at the door when we got there and it was still there when we left. It's a great location but needs to be updated and more clean. Waitress was good but service a little slow.

Don’t recommended the famous toastery bowl unless you want a bowl full of grease. Shrimp and grits had way too much sauce. Service was alright she was quiet and not the most helpful.

We had a wonderful time at this amazing spot. The food was great! The experience itself was immaculate because of the lovely service from our server/the manager, Alyanna! She checked in on us frequently and answered our questions thoroughly and patiently (I have a lot of allergens so it was super helpful). I would 10/10 come here again!

The food was pretty good and the service was amazing! Alyanna made our day, helping us with everything. We were struggling trying to figure out where to eat and just stumbled upon this place to eat at. Would definitely stop by again

Jackson isn’t just a server as much as he be SERVING! The way he delivered my avocado toast felt like a Michelin-star chef and an Olympic sprinter teamed up just for me. My orange juice arrived so fast I think he bent the laws of physics. By the end of brunch, I was emotionally invested. If this man doesn’t get a Presidential Medal for Toastry Excellence, society is doomed.

Not sure why this place only has 4 stars. We had breakfast there both mornings we were in town. Friday morning was fast and friendly service. My 2 egg breakfast was cooked to perfection and my husband's western omelet was tasty and more than he could eat. Fruit was fresh and delish and we appreciate only one piece of toast rather than wasting two. Saturday morning the place was packed but our wait wad less than we were told with rhe same friendly, fast service and hot, yummy food.

My raspberry/cream cheese stuffed French toast was really good, the toastery breakfast bowl with eggs sausage, gravy, and potatoes was barely warm; the toastery western breakfast burrito was good, my son's ham omelet needed the green peppers sautéed not sliced raw inside! I forgot to take photos on this review. Music was too loud.
