Came to pick up a take out order and was told “it’ll be ready when it’s ready” lol never seen customer service like this in my life! The hostess bless her heart was trying her hardest but there was a rude bigger guy with black hair who came from the bar and dismissed me when she was trying to politely explain the kitchen is backed up. Saying that to anyone shows a lack of professionalism and care…it’s not my fault you’re backed up why take it out on anyone else…and apparently he is the manager. A manager with no people skills WHAT A JOKE.

Fiamma has changed - the pictures are no longer accurate. White table cloths are gone. This isn't fine dining any longer. The server started by saying 'to save time, she would only read the title of each special, and if we needed to hear the description she could do that if we asked.' After each heading if she had to read the description. (Why are we trying to save time before we give you hundreds of dollars?) The service was one of the worst I've experienced in Charlotte. Our server took our water glasses before we were done, and blew out the candle on our table while we were still sitting there. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant at prime time on Saturday night. Then she ventured to the table next to us to roll silverware and eat her own dinner - the restaurant was empty but she was doing her side work at 8:30 in the center of the dining room. Strange music was blaring. The food is still pretty good, but if you haven't been in a while you will recognize a lot of change.

I want to start off by saying the food was fantastic! But everything in the experience left a lot to be desired. We had a reservation on Christmas Eve. We showed up 10 minutes before our 6pm reservation and the hostess said we will see you closer to your reservation time. If the restaurant was packed, I’d understand. But it was fairly empty. Plus she was not very pleasant about it either nor did she speak loud enough for my mother I. Law to hear what she said. And she was the one with the reservation. This is disappointing since we were there with my elderly in laws
When we were seated, the music playing was quit loud, so I asked to have it lowered a bit. My party felt like we were yelling to have a conversation. But that never did happen. Our drink order was taken by a young man who was our waiter. He was very nice and polite. But a waitress with long braids asked my wife about the drink she ordered, and actually was pretty rude with her response.
The waiter who helped us the majority of the time was very polite but seemed to be very new and on the inexperienced side. Which was fine since he was polite and very nice.
Overall we were happy with our meal, but definitely lacked a lot of customer service from a couple of individuals and it was way too loud for my elderly in-laws to enjoy.

I am so sad to see this wonderful family restaurant take such a bad turn.

I recently dined at Fiamma and, unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Our table was by the door, which felt more like an afterthought than a welcoming spot. The server, while trying their best, seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, which impacted the overall service.
Drinks took an unusually long time to arrive, though the appetizers were a bright spot—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. However, the main courses were a letdown. The $60 osso bucco, which I had high hopes for, was more akin to a bland stew, lacking the richness and depth you’d expect from such a premium dish. The pasta also missed the mark, with undercooked noodles that overshadowed the rest of the plate.
Overall, the meal was a mix of highs and disappointing lows. For the price point, I expected more consistency and attention to detail.

Amazing food. After our Italy trip, this is the restaurant that comes the closest to real Italian food. Beautiful and delicious food, amazing atmosphere and really good wine.

Food was delicious. Their house bread is buttery and crispy. The Gnocchi was among the best I have had in Charlotte. The desserts we get were delicious and they didn’t skimp on the portions. The atmosphere is quaint nothing flashy. That shouldn’t stop you. You want excellent Italian food at reasonable prices, look no further.

Truly one of the best dining experiences in Charlotte! Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating! The food is excellent! We have been here a few times now and this is the closest we have been able to experience in the city to true Italian food. Makes us feel as if we are in Italy again! 10/10 recommend! Will keep coming back!

The stuff was so friendly, kind and nice. We had 2 entree, carpacio and pasta with pear. I really liked the pasta with pear, a good mixture of salt and sweet. My husband said carpacio was average. Then i had pasta with mushroom and shrimp. It was ok. It was a bit pricy than its taste. My husband had 4 cheese pizza. We loved it. The restaurant is a bit pricy. You can go there when you have any celebrations like bday, promotion etc.

Went after about a 5 year absence. Dishes were interesting and unique, but food was hit or miss. Server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. but very slow checking in with the table even though the place was empty. Worst part was the smell, which the hostess said was fresh fish being cooked, but to me was from a damp mop. Definitely not the Fiamma I remember.
