I am a very understanding/chill person who works in the food industry and I understand mistakes happen but when I was eating my take out order, this was in the bowl. It blended into my broccoli so I didn’t see it at first. Good thing I took a second look because there was a big, gross, dead bug in my food. I am attaching pictures below. Please make sure this doesn’t happen again. Now I’m scared I ate one because I wasn’t looking closely at my food throughout the whole meal. (zoom in closely to pictures and you will see the bug🤮)

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE don’t ever pick up an order from here, they won’t acknowledge you and they’ll leave you waiting for at LEAST thirty minutes this place sucks

Came here after the gym. Got broccoli sweet potatoes and chicken. It was the dryest chicken I have probably eaten broccoli was also left over and was hard to chew.
I didn’t know I was signing up for a jaw workout by choosing to come here.
Please don’t serve anyone dry chicken again it’s not a good experience.

Food is good, but portion is extremely small. Especially if you order takeout .
Food is good but a bit inconsistent. I would stay away from the soups. Got it once and it was decent. Second time, was just all broth. I went back the next day to tell them about it, but the young lady at the front was very unprofessional about it. Her response was “sometimes there’s no chicken left by the end of the night so that’s why you got just broth, and we will try to be better about it in the future”… I was hoping she was going to offer me a new one, considering I didn’t eat it and did not get what was advertised. I had to ask for it, as she looked annoyed and reluctant to give me a new one. Do better, I work in the restaurant industry, and we would ALWAYS offer a refund or a new dish to make the customer feel appreciated. Everyone else there is usually very helpful, besides this person

Great location in Ballantyne bowl. Friendly staff, great food, reasonable prices, excellent on tap kombucha.

There’s nothing worse than treating yourself to lunch only for it to be a bust. Ordered the salmon, Brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes. The salmon is so dry it almost is dehydrated. Yet the sweet potatoes are undercooked and too hard to even eat. The whole thing is entirely inedible.
This was my 3rd and last attempt. Beautiful place, friendly staff, but the trendiness doesn’t make up for the quality.

We recently came to try Flower Child for the first time. Their menu had a lot that I wanted to try, but here is what we got:
*Watermelon Sangria - didn't really taste the watermelon, but I think it added a little sweetness and toned down the spice. It was closer to a fall sangria than a summer one.
*Mediterranean Chicken Kabob Bowl - this had so much more flavor than I was expecting. It was so good that I could not stop eating. The only thing I did not like is that it contained cucumbers which was not listed on the menu, but luckily they were on the side rather than thrown into the bowl.
*Flying Avacado Wrap - my husband got this and liked his wrap, but we both agreed after having bites of my dish, this was a little bland, and we were left wanting more flavor like my dish had.
Service was fast and good. We look forward to coming back to trying more dishes, but I'd come back for my bowl again!

Love this place and eat here often. Ordered DoorDash today and the mark was heavily missed. The salmon was very overcooked and very dry, the macaroni and cheese was extremely dry, and whatever is put on the broccoli to season it, tasted so salty, I couldn’t even finish eating it. It was overwhelming and not good at all. Given what I paid for this meal with delivery fees, I powered through and ate about 90% of it, but you guys need to pick it up and do better or else I won’t be visiting your establishment again. You all have great food. This was an awful experience today.
EDIT: Decided to give it a try again and order the steak plate. Asked for no breadcrumbs and still got breadcrumbs, which made my broccoli pretty much inedible because the breadcrumbs taste so bad because they’re heavily seasoned. The steak is also so tough you can barely chew it. After today, I’m totally done with this place.

UPDATE:
The restaurant only sent me an email to ask for evidence with no follow-up. Refused to offer refunds when I visited the store. Very disappointed and will report this health issue to NCDA&CS.
Original Post: I usually come here to dine in almost once a week and have always enjoyed the food, but the to-go order I picked up in store was incredibly disappointing. The quality was nothing like what I’m used to. The veggies were not fresh—some were even slimy—and shockingly, I found a dead bug in my bowl. That’s unacceptable. On top of that, the portion of salad dressing was so tiny it barely covered a few bites. I expected the same level of care and consistency, but this experience really let me down.

Food here is consistently great and a superb lunch option when I work close by. However, I would like to not be rushed out as I'm finishing my meal. My plate still had plenty of food left, fork still in hand and my mouth was still chewing when one of the staff member asked if they could clear my plate. As soon as I took the last bite of my meal, my plate was cleared by another staff member before I could even swallow. I get a sense that management is pressuring a high turnover to capitalize on the lunch rush. For $30/meal + a very generous tip, maybe I'll go across the street to North Italia next time for better digestion (salmon is just as good).
