I want to preference this review by saying I’m a huge fan of Freemore and Ed’s tavern. But my experience tonight at freemore was less than ideal. I arrived around 10:50pm. Women’s basketball final four was happening and I was hoping to get some food. I was informed by the bartender in an olive green shirt and an AirPod in his ear that the kitchen was closed. Understandable. It’s late. But then I see on the menu there is a late night 11-12 menu. I order from a different bartender. No problem. But then I over hear the olive shirt bartender scolding the bartender I ordered food with saying “I told them the kitchen was closed”. Later I hear him tell her “next time we work together we need to be on the same page”. She seemed very uncomfortable with the situation.

I like this place for the food and atmosphere. My concern during my last visit was the lack of cleanliness and smell in the bathroom. I hope this is not a sign of the overall level of hygiene of the restaurant?

Enjoyed my weekday lunch at Freemore. Good service and French Dip sandwich hit the spot. Onion rings were also great. Others at the table enjoyed the fajita bowls, burgers and wings. TV’s in every direction. Will be back to drink a beer and watch sports.

I wanted to bring to your attention a very disappointing and unprofessional experience I had at your establishment recently.
There was an employee who was incredibly rude. Approximately 20 minutes before closing, a woman wearing a grey sweatshirt with "Freemore Tavern" written on it, rang a bell given from her from behind the bar. She rang the bell several times, signaling that the restaurant was closed yelling "we're closed."
Although, several customers were in the restaurant, she turned around rang the bell again and said "does anyone hear me, we're closed" specifically to my table.
She was sitting at a table with other employees. Some which were on the clock and others that were not.
As my group and I were getting up to leave, we mentioned that the announcement of closing had been very rude. The employee responded by stating that she worked there and was only joking. However, as a paying customer, this was not perceived as a joke at all. She continued to assert that she worked there and kept repeating that she was only joking, while gesturing in an aggressive and rude manner.
Another employee attempted to intervene and apologize for the "misunderstanding," however, the employee off the clock, rudely insisted that it was a joke and we can't take a joke.
This experience was very unprofessional, unwelcoming, and frankly left a negative impression. It's disappointing to feel treated in such a manner at an establishment that I have otherwise enjoyed visiting.
I trust you will address this situation to ensure that this never occurs again.

Food poisoning!! My husband and I got food poisoning on Saturday from eating here! We both shared the Philly quesadilla and buffalo shrimp tacos. I remember thinking the steak looked pink but kept eating it. We have been extremely sick and went to the ER for IV fluids, and it’s been 4 days and we’re still sick. Beware!!

The French Dip was great, my hubby's burger was a perfect medium rare and the service was spectacular!

Lettuce is always mixed with rotting pieces. I asked for a large drink and given a medium size to go cup. Charged $2.19 for lemonade that seemed tainted and not fresh. I was going to say if you are thirsty, their cups are not the place, but I ended up being glad I didn't get more of that nasty beverage.
Vegetarian options: Not many, but some options...salty though
