My first experience was absolutely amazing. Excellent customer service and the ambiance - warm and cozy atmosphere. The smooth jazz music while eating the delish food set my dining experience to another level. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I highly recommend and can’t wait to comeback! Thank you for the hospitality very rare in these days and time!

The waitress was great the food was bland and the owner was very combative . We had a guest from California and was embarrassed over the whole experience. We will not be back

I FINALLY found some good soul food in Charlotte! If your from up north, you know the struggle! I’m writing this review as I eat, super rare for me! I got the turkey wings, yams and mac and cheese. Only thing I needed was some black pepper for the mac. The customer service is STELLAR! So friendly so welcoming! This place gets 10 stars from me!

The staff was nice. We had a group of about 12. Fish was good, but the sides left much to be desired. Red beans and rice was all beans and no rice. The cabbage was just ok. It was nothing to rave about. Food was very overpriced for what you get. The owner did come out to greet us and went over the menu but it took FOREVER to get our food. Some of us was finished by the time others in our party received their meal. Plus they don't give free refills on drinks. I think you get one courtesy refill but after that you will be charged for another drink. I probably will not go back.

Wanted some soul food with family. This place did not disappoint. Nice cozy, friendly environment. Food came out quick and very, very good. Wanted to try the desserts but I enjoyed myself too much with the main dish. Highly recommend.

I thought this place must have been new because I had never heard of it. There's a ton of soul food all over Charlotte, and this is never a name that comes up in conversations. But it's definitely a secret gem.
