Currently having a pie right now. Great old school pizzeria with retro vibe to it. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Place has a great selection of pies, combos, and by the slice. I would highly recommend this place. Do your due diligence and support this local business.

Great retro style pizzeria with an old school feel. Has a classic pizza place vibe with a large selection of whole pizzas, combos, and by the slice. I would highly recommend this place.

Fuel is a cool pizza joint located right across the street from the convention center. Perfect for if you're in town for a conference and want to grab a quick bite in a interesting setting. Located in what looks like an old church, the restaurant really plays off their name Fuel with tons of car and gasoline related decor. Now on to the slice, this is the type of good slice that you could easily slam down more than a few while on your break and still crave another one.

If I could give this place a 0/5 stars I would. We ordered a large pizza and never got it. Waited for over 30 minutes for a pizza. Multiple pies were made and given to other customers before our order was ever considered. I do not recommend this place to anyone who simply wants pizza. You won't get it unless you're willing to wait for customers paying for slices. Customer beware, I wouldn't spend my last dime here. Horrible customer service. I was fully refunded and don't want anything from the restaurant.

Lunch combo #3: Specialty slice, salad, and a drink for $9.19 - hits the spot.

Good place, very clean. We enjoyed the memorabilia while we ate. Easy walk from most downtown Charlotte hotels.

Stopped by Fuel while out in Uptown. The pizza itself was pretty good, but everything else about this place was mediocre or bad. The service we got at the front counter was honestly a bit cringy. The guy taking our order was a bit cold, kept laughing when I asked him questions, and was just looking down the whole time with a hat on, covering his face and eyes. . . awkward. The garlic knots were the worst garlic knots I’ve ever had, glorified bread at best. Cinnamon knots were equally as mediocre. They wouldn’t add any toppings to our pizza slices because of the “health department” yet the parmesan in the shakers on the tables looked yellow, smelled stale, and looks like its been sitting there for months without being changed. Ambiance in this place is weird, with vintage gas station memorabilia all over the place. Overall, if you’re in uptown and just craving a few slices of pizza, not a horrible bet, but I recommend not dining in or ordering anything else.

This place was near our hotel and we hit it up for a late snack. Pizza is pretty good. Staff was cool & the location is perfect!

First time for me, was looking forward to it!#DisappointedRestaurant decor was nice, but I wasn't eating the decorations.I should have...Order two slices of pizza and a stromboli. Stromboli was $11, but look like a sad Taco Bell cheese roll up.Oven reheated my food, pizza slices were warm, Stromboli was still ice cold in the middle.Maybe that's how they eat it around here?? I'm not fancy like that though. There is only one other occupied table in the entire restaurant, yet the tables were filthy where I sat.The guy running the counter reminded me of shaggy, only even slower and grungier. Not even sure if he knew he was at work, that would explain his issues.

Legally all restaurants are required to provide their patrons free drinking water. This place charged me $2 for a bottle of water and refused to give me a drinking cup free of charge. I was buying four slices of pizza. It wasn't as though I was just asking for free water.

My friends & I came in on a saturday night & the employees went above & beyond what i could have expected. Not only did they have gluten free options (& a bunch of options in general) - but the taste.. i will HAVE to be back. the interior was warm and welcoming, decor is one of a kind, seating is comfortable, Oh! & melissa was so so kind & helpful. Pizza is one of those things that a hit or miss with being gluten free, & this place is DEFINITELY a hit. I will keep coming back, & you should too ;)

This place needs a thorough steam cleaning from top to bottom. It is dingy and dirty. The food is barely edible, and now more expensive than ever. At peak lunch hour they have 2 guys struggling to serve customers.

Was denied water from the soda fountain when I ordered two slices. Was told they were out of water cups and could not give me a soda cup for water. Absolutely never returning. I believe this is also a health department violation.

HORRIBLE customer service. The cashier questioned a computer glitch as the computer terminal system had "Approved" my sale, so she notified her manager of the issue. Twice, I told the manager my card had been approved but she declined and told me to run the card a second time, only to backtrack and confirm my payment had successfully been received. Never once did she admit to their confusion nor apologize. Instead, she chose to reprimand me for being rude (which I wasn't. I was being defensive of having paid $21). At this point I chose to leave. Her unprofessionalism made me UNhungry, so I left. I will NEVER, EVER go back to Fuel Pizza EVER again!

Very high quality toppings. High concept pizza. I enjoyed everything but the burnt and chewy bottom. I had a very large pizza that perhaps needed more cook time? Maybe go smaller so it's run on the faster conveyor. I will try again so don't overlook look this place on my review. High quality toppings are crucial. I'll update when I return to Charlotte in a couple weeks.
