Gilde Brewery Reviews
Stopped for a lunch just off the interstate. Loved the beers and the food! But Cassie was the icing on the cake. She recommended all great things and gave us a great respite on our work day. We’ll be back!
We previously visited Gilde to celebrate my birthday and my husband proposed to me that night!! The food was fantastic - that night.
We just went there for a late lunch/early dinner and it was absolutely terrible. We shared a burger and the chicken club. I ordered potato wedges for my side... the burger was underdone despite the menu stating that it would be cooked to 165, the chicken was still slightly pink and the wedges were not the ones pictured on their social media...read full review

Gilde Brewery, located in Charlotte, is a German-style brewery that offers a variety of delicious beers and a lively, festive atmosphere. The brewery has a large seating area, both indoors and outdoors, and often features live polka music, creating an Oktoberfest vibe. The beer selection is excellent, with the Gilde Pilsner being a standout favorite. The brewery builds on a rich German history dating back to 1546 in Hannover, Germany, and is renowned for its commitment to traditional German brewing methods. They brew on premise and have 17 house beer taps, including Gilde Pilsener, Red Rooster, The Mine, a Bavarian Weiß, Dark Hen, a Dunkelweizen, and even a German IPA.
Guests can enjoy traditional German dishes such as Schnitzel, various kinds of Wurst (Bratwurst), Pretzels with Obazda (a German cheese dip), and Sauerkraut. The space blends a modern brewery feel with the traditional German bier hall, featuring long communal tables, a large bar, views into the brewhouse, and a huge outdoor patio. The brewery also has a beer garden and offers beer to go, along with wine and liquor. Dogs are allowed outside, and there are four televisions to catch the game.
The environment is fun and lively, often with a live band, and has many games like shuffleboard, foosball, and board games. There is also a Photo Booth where guests can take pictures and have them texted to themselves. The crowd tends to be on the older side, and children are often present. The decor and atmosphere make it feel like a German countryside tavern. The fries served are hot, crispy, and delicious, and the brewery even features a shotski for a fun experience. Overall, Gilde Brewery is a great place for great food, knowledgeable staff, and lots of entertainment, making it a must-visit for beer lovers and those seeking a lively, authentic German experience.
