My friends and I had a very pleasant experience at Gilde. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the beef stroganoff and the Bretzel. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Our server, Kage, was amazing: professional, friendly, and attentive.

Nice fun environment. If you like beer, try the beer flights - people at our table had a good time trying the different flavors. Food was good overall. We came after a holiday so the place was quiet but it seems to be a restaurant that has a good upbeat energy with social activities like group games.

Food was unremarkable and pretty bland, even by German standards. The beef stroganoff was more chunks of beef with a bit of gravy rather than a hearty stew. Spatzle were cold. Only redeeming factor was some (but not all) beers were good. The German forest cake tasted and looked like a 9x13 box mix. Atmosphere was nice.

We truly LOVE this place... so much so that Hubby chose it to celebrate his birthday this weekend. BUT!!! If you were going to close at 10PM on a Friday night (Google says Midnight - but google is often wrong) - IF YOU WERE GOING TO CLOSE AT 10PM ON A FRIDAY NIGHT... PLEASE DO NOT SELL & POUR a 32oz GLASS OF BEER AT 09.35PM and then come back 10 minutes later to tell us you are closing in 15 minutes and to settle the bill and LEAVE. NO WARNING given, NO LAST CALL given. We were sitting at a booth with HIGH walls/the back-of-chairs near the restroom, we can't see the rest of the place from our booth. PLEASE GIVE US A WARNING. Were we oblivious? sure, that may be our fault in this case, but being served a 32oz BEER and then to be told to leave 10 MINUTES after the said beer was served was a bit SHOCKING to say the least. We'll still come back, but please, DO BETTER!!!!!!
