This is a festive and lively place! The decor is so fun and often they have a live (polka) band. There are lots of games to play- board games and other (like shuffle board and foosball). They always have a Photo Booth/camera that you can take pics and have them texted to yourself. It can be pretty loud and the crowd is usually on the older side (than the typical south end brewery) and often there are children. It’s very cool that the original Gilde is in Germany and is so old....

Great food, knowledgeable staff, and lots of games to play. We played fus-ball in between courses and beers, and it was not a concern of management. Great German countryside tavern feel

I will preface this review with the fact that I am not part of the trendy fad that likes IPAs and sours…. This place serves true, classic German style beer and true German food. I absolutely love this place, and it might be my favorite place in all of the south end. Anyone who lives there knows that is saying a lot, cause there are a lot of good places in the area.
