This is great spot to get authentic Indian cuisine with a friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I also love the online ordering which sends a text message when the food is ready for pick up. I have been here many times, and my food is always ready within a reasonable timeframe and consistently tastes good. And the chai tea is amazing!

Visited for the first time with family on Sunday afternoon for lunch. We asked for Got biriyani but to our surprise they were out of got biriyani on Sunday afternoon at 1:40pm. Really surprised and shocked that they didn’t have goat biriyani. It was a huge disappointment but we were so hungry and all decided to order different biriyani varieties we ordered- Shrimp Biriyani was good, Special chicken biriyani was delicious, Goat roast mamsam biriyani was very spicy but good, and Hyderabadi chicken dumplings biriyani was bland and tasteless.
Dead slow service, we were waiting for the food for around 45 minutes. Never waited so long in any Indian restaurants before 😅.

I had an amazing experience at Godavari! The Mysore Bonda was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside, with just the right amount of spice. Their dosa was equally impressive. Great food, warm service, and a cozy ambiance—highly recommend for any South Indian food lover!

Great Food !!!
This place is amazing! Authentic, flavorful and spicy! The menu is flippin' HUGE! but?.. No Worries, you'll have the rest of you life to eat here, EVERY WEEK.... And never get to try EVERYTHING! Challenge accepted. Whenever I'm in the area (which is about once a week) I'll be eating at Godavari.

I ordered Butter chicken. I was served heavy cream with cilantro. There isn’t even a hint of tomato or spices.Trader Joe’s frozen butter chicken is better and cheaper. I’m not happy at all. $45 down the drain.

The menu and portion sizes are good. While the spices smelled good, everything was too hot - likely hot sauce. We ordered medium heat on the Panak Paneer and Navratan Kurma, but no heat choices were available for the Butter Chicken. The naan was okay, but seasonings were sparce and there were not enough varied choies in naan. Personally we choose Indian food for the deliciousness, uniqueness and balancing of spices and flavor profiles; this is where we were most disappointed. The hot sauce ruined every dish except for the plain rice. We even tried to tame the hotness (with yogurt, sour cream, broth, nut paste, etc.) without success. Hot sauce is aggressive and something anyone can add to their own liking. 😔 😞 Not sure we'll try this place again, which is sad because the Navratan Kurma was new to us and holds great potential.
Vegetarian options: We wish we'd found a new Indian restaurant to support. If you stop using hot sauce, we might try again.
