Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

This is our absolutely favorite place to eat. We've been here numerous times and Trevor always makes it an amazing experience. We were so happy to find out he was actually promoted to Manager! Well deserved for sure. Our server, Jay was amazing as well. Very attentive and simply great! We're looking forward for the new location to open in Durham as we moved and have been driving to Greensboro whenever we can, but Charlotte remains our fav location because of Trevor and now Jay!

More like K BBQ without the marinades and sauces. The meats are not what's trending in Japan lately IMO in terms of quality of beef or presentation. To be clear we didn't order AYCE rather the chefs combination...a little disappointing

Lunch options and pricing was pretty good for what you get, but it would be nice to having a larger grill at tables that seat 4. The grill there is really only big enough for 2-3 people.

Mann i love this place food is great fantastic optins great lunch and dinner menu they also have a happy hour the waitstaff is very diligent and patient with you.They explained the menu very well and give you plenty of time to figure out what you want to eat.The all you can eat menu is also very good.I must tell you now.It is ninety minutes, but at the same time you're gonna be full.You're not going to be able to eat for ninety minutes lol the portions are very fair and it's just an overall great experience.I definitely recommend this place. 10 out of 10, if I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.

We went here for a date on a rainy Saturday and it was great to be next to the hot grill on a cold day. If you park in the Savoy Parking deck you can scan the QR code and get 2 hours of free parking by saying you're visiting Gyu-Kaku. The service is very fast. We had the premium sirloin, ny steak, chicken teriyaki, fried cheese wontons, yuzu avocado salad, spicy cold tofu, and the beyond beef bibimbop. Everything was excellent and we'll definitely be back! Most of the booths are meant for 2 people, so a great date place, and then there are some larger booths for parties up to 14.

Every person in our group won't be returning to this location. Not near our previous experience at another location in Montreal Canada. Perhaps just a low quality food day.
Stringy, gristlely Fatty beef was not at all good quality.

We had a great time. We tried the new menu items...loved the curry rice, didn't love the clams and definitely didn't like the Waygu Ribeye. Dani our server was great!

Our 1st time here- party of 6 and it did not disappoint. Mr. Tony was attentive and friendly. We came for Charlotte Restaurant week but decided to just get the premium all you can eat and we were stuffed! Will definitely go again :)

Always an amazing time going. The food is great! We got the beer tower and the meat variety package. Good time to have some meats and hang with friends.

The food was great and the service was excellent. This was our first time eating there and our server was very helpful with the menu.

The karaage is delicious! And this is such a a fun place to have bbq. The food is good and the staff are nice. I think the prices are fair and there are HH deals!

great service and food was amazing! We got the garlic noodles, steamed chili dumpling, prime kalbi, umakara pork, umakara ribeye and many more. The quality of the meat was excellent. Definitely a must try in when your in charlotte.
