Great dinner - diverse food menu and tons of wine. Still had their winter cocktail menu in March, so would've been nice to have a spring cocktail. But service, food, and drinks were great and will definitely be coming back!

We had such a great experience with Andrew, E at the bar, and Colleen! Great service, food, and overall experience! We recommend! We tried a plethora of tapas (burrata, mushrooms, kafta, pork belly, scallops). All were amazing! Salmon was also great!

Stopped at Mariposa for a brunch and sat at the bar. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding very fresh with a great taste. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to have a fancy brunch that's not overpriced.

The food was good but not a lot of it for the price. The jazz brunch would have been better if the band played more and you could hear it well across the entire restaurant. Seating was very close to other tables and uncomfortable. Service from both host and waitress were outstanding.

Make sure you don't get there ten or five minutes before your reservation. They would push you to the side for those ten minutes and wait until your table is ready while others get sided. They should have a better system for those who like to get there at least ten or five minutes early and not locate them to the side of the main entrance. At least have a little waiting area or a small bench for people can seat and wait; even telling them to wait on the lobby could be a possibility.

Meh. Went to Valentine's Date night. The $6 Sourdough Bread and $2 butter seemed a bit much for four mini slices, but okay. The food was generally well prepared. Couldn't really identify the Chimichurri on my short ribs. The down side was that the side dish didn't come out with the large plate. Was told that they were served tapas, so they came out when they were ready. They did comp the late side dish, so thanks. No Bacardi (my drink), despite having other typical liquors, but did have an odd selection of NC rums. Some of the seating was really off. About 4 tables had a sofa on one side and chair on the other. But the sofa is too low. Was watching couples having dinner with one person towering 18" over the other across the table. Finally, my preference, but don't bring the check to my table before asking if I would like anything else. Waiter set the check down and said, "When your ready," and walked away. My wife and Iooked at each other and said, "Well, I guess we're done." I don't need to go back.

Both of our entrees (crispy branzino and chicken) and shareable sides were amazing. The drink menu is well curated. We enjoyed the playlist, the music and atmosphere both had a great vibe.

We came for the first time for Valentine's Day and we couldn't be more pleased. The food was great and the ambience was lovely. We never felt rushed and the waiter was super accommodating! We will be back for sure especially when it gets warmer so we can sit on the balcony!

The food was okay, service wasn't great. We sat at bar and normally I found bartenders do a good job of engaging with customers about drink specials, menu, etc but not here. Don't know if we'll be back

Service was exceptional. We enjoyed the tuna crudo, scallops, and tandoori cauliflower the most. The Piri Piri chicken was extremely salty, and the burrata was just ok. Cocktails were good, but more expensive than at other similar establishments. I'm not sure we'll return, as both Barcelona Wine Bar and Good Food on Montford provide more value for what you get.

Our group was 7 people. Check in had a bit of a long wait due to all personnel being extremely busy. However once we checked in we sat very quickly. Food was great, we ordered 10 menu items, all were good it seem with a Mediterranean touch. The duck, salmon and paella were very good. The paella is a portion enough for about three people. The collflower was also great. The server excellent on top of things.

Never appreciate a 20 something year old hostest self absorbed with herself or her phone, that has an empty restaurant for brunch service by 1245 and tells ypu the seats you requested a week ago was not available because someone else reserved them...btw there were 5 of the same booths and we were open to any, but she sat us at a couch that was too low on one side, too high on the other...10 minutes and still empty, we moved to the tables we wanted.

Very nice atmosphere and decent staff, but the food and drinks were not it. It's a cool date night because it's in the Mint Museum and you can go see some art after and walk down the street for some ice cream.

Great ambiance — has a bustling big city feel. Many tables have couches for seating. The cocktails were delicious, especially the one with pistachio foam, which was visually stunning as well. The food was on really good, on par for the style of restaurant, but didn't reach amazing or inspired or OMG level. Interestingly, 3 or 4 all had the same watermelon radish garnish and were on a smear of white sauce; most top restaurants don't repeat elements as much. Mostly, the timing of service was odd. We ordered five small plates, which would typically be served as they are prepared. Instead, there was a long gap between delivery. We still enjoyed the evening a lot and noted Mariposa would be a good place to show off Charlotte as a cool, sophisticated city.

We had some of the cocktails from the menu and they were fantastic. The wine by the glass was excellent. The Sourdough was more like a cornbread consistency with no sour flavor and it's weird to have to pay for butter. Feels like being nickel and dimed. We had a salad that was excellent and so was the mushroom focaccia. Unfortunately, the roasted potatoes were really bad and the pumpkin cake we got was inedible; it seemed like it came from a US Foods box. The restaurant is beautiful and we weee really happy with the atmosphere in general. But some chairs have a couch to sit on, which looked cool but I wouldn't want to sit there. The service was some of the best I've had in a long time, very attentive without feeling like we had a guest at our table. She was also very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant and would visit again. The drinks were top notch and the atmosphere is modern and cool.
