This is the only place at Wells Fargo that serves ice cream. Their chocolate ice cream is very nice!

They filled up my own supersized mug with iced mocha ... and I didn't even ask them to do that. I expected to pay for the beverage, get it in their cup, and dump it into my mug. Super nice people and excellent service. I'll be back with bigger orders.

Fast and very friendly service even at the peak of lunch rush. The owners love to get to know their patrons. Reasonable prices. Love the tuna salad or chicken salad on rye. Their sourdough bread is also better than average.

My husband and I love Halfpenny's! We stop in every day for coffee and sometimes breakfast. It's my favorite part of weekday mornings. They have a great coffee selection, lots of breakfast options, and the people who work there are wonderful. Such a great little spot downtown.

The place looked cute and I was excited. I ordered a scoop of ice cream with sprinkles. The sprinkles looked faded and the ice cream tasted gritty. I was so unsatisfied. Definitely not going back for my sweet tooth.

The Hunts

Best chicken salad sandwich Uptown!

I absolutely love this place! It's one of those great restaurants where the owners know your name and are always pleasant. Very reasonable prices for simple grab and go lunch sandwiches, and by far THE BEST biscuits in Charlotte!

This is one of those wonderful places where the owners get to know your name let alone your usual order! Their prices are very reasonable, and they have by far the BEST egg and cheese biscuits in Charlotte!

Service was not friendly and the food made me sick. Stay away from this place.

The Westate

Always friendly standard diner fare.

My favorite place to grab lunch uptown between meetings. You are in and out quickly with good service and a quality sandwich made to order.

It's just a expensive cheap style sandwich shop. Not really and ice cream parlor or confections.nice people quick food. But not what its name makes you wonder.

The ice cream here is just a brand you can buy at any grocery store(edys) but I got a homemade Danish that was very unassuming and it was delightful. Very light, not super sweet but airy. It's not amieles level of pastry but I wouldn't mind snacking on these on Fridays. For $3 it's better than expected. I'm tempted to try their sandwiches now.

Cheap, tasty, nice staff. This is my secret lunch spot in Charlotte (maybe not for very long anymore).
