Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

This was our first time at Handels. We stumbled on it while eating lunch as we passed through. Plenty of flavor choices, serving options and good prices! Do yourself a favor and give them a try!

Every visit so far they are out or almost out of vegan options. Chocolate and mango are the only two vegan choices offered. After three visits, I've learned now to ask if they have anything left before getting rung up then having to get an instant refund (minus the tip added).

Handel’s has delicious ice cream. They have a variety of flavors, so no matter your preference you’ll be able to find something!

They have a huge variety of flavors, and cover the gamut of traditional as well as fun and funky as well. I am a big fan of the chocoholic chunk, with or without peanut butter swirls, as well as the lemon bar, blueberry cobbler, and there was one with chocolate and something crunchy that I can't quite remember the name of ... And their portion size is quite big also, so you get your money's worth. I'm glad they came to Charlotte.

My wife and I absolutely love this little ice cream shop. It’s close to our house and they do a great job. There’s almost always a 5 to 10 minute wait line but that’s because have a good day are. I personally strongly recommend something simple like a chocolate malt or a vanilla malt there. They are fantastic but truth be told anything I’ve had from there has been great but I’m a pure with ice cream. I like it simple also, the ice cream sandwiches are phenomenal.

I mean the ice cream is really good. I had just a root beer float and my date had a cone with three scoops key lime pie chocolate and strawberry I tasted all three very good. but what really stood out was the customer service! It was our third date and so being a man without a lot of game as they say lol I immediately dropped my whole root beer float on the parking lot. now I was broke the day I took her out on our third date not proud of that but in fact I spent every dime I had just getting us the ice cream. so I was just going to eat what was still in the cup LOL. BUT this young lady that I've got a fourth date with this week yay for me anyways she was like oh no you have to get a new one and so I was just going to like overdraft my card cuz you don't want to be like hey so third date and I can't afford another root beer float anyways I got grass but what was so cool I got out there with my card and that kid that was working he already had me another one made and when I tried to give him my debit card he was like oh no no don't worry it's on us and he could tell that I was all nervous with her. they were extremely polite and and the ice cream was really good and they saved me from being embarrassed what else can you ask or from an ice cream place right. see if Ben and Jerry ever give that kind of service?!?!?
