Hawthorne's New York Pizza and Bar Carmel Road

I ordered lasagna around 9:30 Saturday October 4th. In South End. They made it look yummy on their website but what they served me was not edible. It looked as if someone drowned lasagna noodles in spaghetti sauce but the sauce wasn’t even red so I’m not sure what it was. By the time I got home and got a look at it the restaurant was closed so I couldn’t take it back.

Not all the hype did not taste like NY pizza or even Chicago.

Love Carrie! Most the time everything is perfect. Once in a while there are new waitresses that make it less perfect..but not bad..just a little less attentive. They know us and always treat us amazing! Thank you!!!

The pizza is OK if you’re looking for a local version of a greasy slice like Papa John’s or Domino’s, but Inizio is a better option if you want a good pie.

We ordered from Hawthorne’s specifically because they were hosting a school spirit night to support the school PTA and when I got there they refused to honor that because I ordered online on their website instead of calling to order. At that point they already had my payment from the online order so there was no option not to take the pizza.

Mooresville Location… We love the pizza, but our order is wrong half the time. When placing an online order, the employees have to hand key the order into their system. More times than not, the order is keyed wrong. I’m tired of having to wait extra time because of the carelessness.

Just ordered pizza for the first time from Hawthornes. I’m from NY and haven’t been able to find good pizza around here. This pizza was absolutely delicious! I’m so happy I found this place!

One of the best Calzones I have legitimately ever had! It was so delicious, I almost forgot to take a picture.

The ricotta and garlic parmesan really bring it all together!

I recommend you give it a try!

We live Hawthorne's! We were at the Carmel Rd location last night, with a big family group and we were out on the patio, which was nice and warm! The service was great as usual and the food was great as usual as well! We absolutely LOVE Hawthorne's!
