Absolutely incredible dining experience at The Haymaker! From start to finish, every detail was perfect. Our server, Jacob, went above and beyond, making us feel so welcome and well taken care of throughout the entire meal. His attention to detail and knowledge of the menu truly enhanced our experience—he's a gem!
The bartender deserves a standing ovation for their amazing infused mocktails. Both the ginger lavender and "Going Up" mocktails were absolute showstoppers. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced, adding a refreshing twist to our meal.
For the main course, we both chose the schnitzel, which was paired with creamy grits and perfectly seasoned squash with garlic and onions. Hats off to the chef for crafting such a symphony of flavors; every bite was a delightful surprise. The schnitzel was crispy and tender, the grits were buttery smooth, and the squash brought it all together with a hint of sweetness. Deliciousness all around!
Thank you, Haymaker, for a memorable evening filled with incredible food, drink, and service. We can’t wait to come back! … oh and we were bribed with fudge to write this review !!! ? well played ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As a suggestion: dimmer lights for a more intimate atmosphere and some good music would have been great !

Jacob made our day! We had the coffee cake, chicken biscuit and Haymaker breakfast. The service was phenomenal and the food was even better!
Haymaker came highly recommended to our out of town group! So glad we tried it. The food was phenomenal, atmosphere was top notch and drinks were Devine. Sarah was excellent and Eric could be the best drink maker in all of Charlotte. Haymaker is a MUST visit if you are looking for authentic, fresh and delicious food.

Absolutely lovely place. The food is inspired, incredibly fresh, complex without being fussy, and perfect portions. We came for the farm-to-table experience and they delivered in spades: the homemade pickles on the burger, the delicata squash and the most extraordinary, crunchy lettuce (the simple green salad is the best we’ve ever had). Five stars!!!! (Our server tells us the squash and lettuce are from the Fair Share Farm locally)

Service was very good. I hated the menu. They did not have anything on the menu that made me say “wow this sounds good” so I went with the safest choice, which was the chicken and dumplings. It was actually a chicken soup with 5-6 tiny dumplings (they tasted weird in my opinion). The overall taste was okay, not the kind of dish I would recommend, and I think the menu mislead me. This should be called a soup, and the sound was not worth the price.

They got the look but they don’t have the touch. Steak Overcooked ALOT. WATER GLASSES EMPTY THE ENTIRE TIME. NO FLAVOR EXCEPT OLIVE OIL. GOT UP AND GOT MY OWN

Great atmosphere. The food was excellent. We had the coffee cake, shrimp and grits, and the fried chicken biscuit. Our server, Cassidy, was great as well. Highly recommend!

My partner and I came here after a reservation at another place fell through, and I am honestly so thankful it did. The atmosphere was incredible, not only the personality of the staff but the ambiance as well. The waiter we had was very knowledgeable and seemed very passionate about the place. The price was more than I was expecting to spend but it was worth every penny. My partner got the whole trout and I got the chicken with dumplings, and w shared charred cabbage and cornbread. The cornbread was arguably the best cornbread I've had in my entire life, even having grown up in the south. The drinks were very generous with the alcohol and my partner ordered a bit off menu due to an unavailable drink, and the waiter made it to perfection both times. Would definitely love to come back here again to celebrate an anniversary or something, or perhaps even to celebrate nothing as it genuinely tasted worth the trip.
This particular visit was quite busy due to it being a game day. We were seated, but it seemed like the restaurant was short-staffed. We did wait quite a bit to place an order, but the servers were kind enough to bring a treat for the table for the inconvenience while we waited. Overall Haymaker is always a great experience and the food is always great. I wish the brunch menu was a bit bigger and had more options, but I understand that doing a few things excellently is better than doing more with lower attention to detail. Haymaker is always a good idea!
Alex the bartender and wait staff were super welcoming. It was a Sunday night so the place was quiet. Our party appreciates the extra attention. Good food and nice decor. Highly recommend!
