We had a big party for Easter brunch. The food was extremely good. Bacon plentiful and not greasy, waffle bar, all southern breakfast fixings, delicious mimosas, salad options, donuts, muffins. I’m definitely going back!

Heist Brewing is one of those breweries that is trying to figure out if it’s a beer themed restaurant or a micro brewery. The food is pretty darn good pub fare, but the beer is a bit below par. I tried a Dunkel that was just really not good at all and didn’t finish it. Looking in their Brewhouse behind the glass, you see some mold on some of the refrigeration lines, etc. That really just needs to be spotless if you’re a production brewery - those off flavors are contamination in the fermentation area. Real good place to hang out - great vibe - packed with hundreds of folks, but you can get much better beer elsewhere in Charlotte.

The bacon jam brussels and buffalo chicken wrap are delicious! I love coming here with friends!

Went to the location 25 minutes before the kitchen closing, on a FRIDAY NIGHT…and they refused to make us any food (1 pizza)…what a joke, I will never go back, and I will tell my friends and their friends to never go back.

My wife and I came here for an improv comedy show - much fun! - and I was stoked to finally get to try the food here. I’ve had their beer many times and my first IPA was theirs, but never really hung out to catch the vibe or eat.We started with the beer cheese pretzels and the beer cheese was easily the best beer cheese I’ve ever tasted. It was a combination of a bunch of cheeses and was perfectly gooey and tasty. It had a nice crust on it from the broiler and I promise you there wasn’t any left when we finished.I then had the Korean Smoked Pork Belly Tacos and they were fire! Damn! Out of this world good. The coleslaw meshed so well with the pork belly and kimchi sauce. It was tangy and smooth and just delicious. I wanted to eat some more.My wife didn’t eat but she did enjoy a couple of cans of cider. Not theirs but from a brewery in Raleigh. Orange You a Hippie was the name of it (semi-dry, orange peel and hibiscus). I took a sip and it was quite tasty.I had two glasses of their Pick’n Series sour (cranberry, pomegranate, and lime), one glass of their Friendly Competition (nice German-style lager), and a glass of their Coast to Coast Itinerary (West Coast IPA) and all were delicious. We sat outside on the patio after the show and enjoyed the warm spring evening. I’ve always enjoyed their beers, and now that I’ve tasted their food, they have solidified their spot as my fav brewery in the QC

Visited in October 2014. After touring Birdsong, Triple C, and NoDa, I was thoroughly impressed by their beers. Among these, Heist stood out with the best brews. The brewpub itself was quite the quintessential establishment, which is perfectly fine. The bartender was particularly memorable for her delightfully dry and sardonic humor—she was simply endearing. Heist Brewery would certainly be on my list for a repeat visit should I find myself in Charlotte again.

Skip the Sunday Brunch. In the photos on Instagram, they show an enormous tray of crayfish. No crayfish but we did have these cute cold, slider sized canned salmon patties. Except the coffee, nothing was warm. Croissants were cold out of the package. Eggs, cold. Gravy, cold. Grits, cold. First batch of bacon was ultra crispy and dark brown. Second batch was limp and floppy. Plastic cutlery in plastic bags. Maybe I missed it but saw no toast. Our group was looking forward to this brunch. At $22 we definitely were expecting something nicer. Two in our group took 2 bites and quit. So disappointed. And I was the one who recommended it to the group. I hate to say even Golden Corral is 5 star compared to this brunch.

This review is solely for the brunch! Love the brewery otherwise! They've raised the prices of the brunch and gotten rid of the included drink. It's now $22 (plus tax and tip) for mediocre food. Not really worth it for the food but the location and the environment are fun. Plenty of parking and you'll pay more for food elsewhere. The omelette was ridiculously greasy.I just wish the food tasted better.

The flight beers are some of the best in clt.

Super fun spot, ipas are awesome. But the others fell very flat and lacking flavor. Go for the ipas. Food looked really good

Had Sunday brunch buffet twice now. First time was subpar and had hopes the second go round would be better, but it was worse. Great atmosphere and music but the buffet had mostly cold food both trips. If they could find a way to keep food warm it would be great.

I normally love eating here but I was very frustrated by my experience on Sunday. I came into the restaurant and waited by the host stand for someone to seat me for at least 5 minutes (with multiple workers seeing me) before I had to ask an employee for a table. I was informed it was seat yourself and that I should order at the bar. This is fine, but there should’ve been a sign at the host stand to make this clear to customers or the employees could’ve said something when they see people waiting by the door. When I sat down, I scanned the QR code menu to pick my food and then went up to the bar to order with my friend. When I tried to order something off the menu, I was informed it was a “Sunday limited menu.” This is something that also should’ve been mentioned before my friend and I sat down. Additionally, they were out of chicken and so the limited menu was additionally cut in half. This all would’ve been a different experience if there had just been a sign at the host stand informing customers of the seat yourself experience, the Sunday limited menu, and the chicken shortage.Additionally, they got rid of their barbecue mac and cheese flatbread which was the best thing on the menu and that was personally devastating to me.

Great food and beer. We do miss the table service and now having to go up to the bar to order.
