I came from out of town wanted some soul food I order oxtails red beans and rice with greens I give it 1star it’s giving glory greens out a can then they seasoned them more they was very salty the red beans was hard and too sweet oxtails was way to spicy my boyfriend had the chicken and shrimp combo that was salty so disappointed I spent 104.00 and couldn’t eat it whomever is cook lay off the salty first time and I won’t go back 👎🏾

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! The salmon was dry and the skin was tough, the collard greens were salty, the six cheese baked macaroni was dry and lack flavor, and the shrimp were soggy. This food was ok, but not worth the price I paid and I definitely will not come back. I was overcharged a service fee of 20% assuming it was the delivery fee since I did order DELIVERY. My food was not delivered to me as requested and as CLEARLY stated on my receipt. When I asked about my $13.53 service charge since my food was not being delivered to me, the young lady just re-stated that they do not deliver unless it's ordered through doordash. No explanation for the service charge and why doesn't the order delivery button on the website guarantee delivery. The customer service is horrible and the food is not worth the hassle. I don't understand how they received 4 stars and are still in business. There is NOTHING about this place that stands out or would make me eager to return. Overpriced and disappointing.

A group of us came from out of town (shout out to Portland) And was looking for soul food per se. Google restaurants in this came up from the pictures. Everything looks good so we all agreed to go. We get there thinking it was a restaurant it’s a club. We tried to sit and eat and was told all the tables were reserved so we couldn’t sit there and eat, we got our food to go. Everyone ordered their food. I ordered last, mind you the little corner that you order your food in is hella dark I had to pull my flashlight out to even look at the menu to order my food.While I was waiting for my food, the rest of my party had their food so they were saying how good it was high fiving each other. “Oh this is good!) so I didn’t think to check my food because we waited so long. Now online it shows clear as day PASTA so that’s what I thought I ordered chicken and shrimp pasta. Get back to my Airbnb and I have chicken and shrimp. Mind you regular chicken and shrimp I don’t eat big chicken wings (my preference). These wings were freakin huge And I was all the way turned off because that’s not what I ordered or that’s not what I thought I ordered. Long story short I called the next day to get this situation rectified as because I didn’t eat the food and it was pricy! The sides I tasted because I needed to eat something. Spoke with the employee who in turn spoke with the owner. She told me that they don’t even sell pasta! Hmmmm Well ma’am, it’s a few different pictures of a pasta dinner on your website when you’re googled. Then told me there’s a sign that says check your food for their policy by the register…..NEVER seen that sign as I stated it was hella dark I had to pull out my flashlight on my phone to see the menu you think I seen a policy?!? Nevertheless, they said I couldn’t return the item or get a refund. There’s nothing they can do their hands are tied. As a paying customer, I feel like the situation was not rectified at all. I’m out of 30 something dollars I spent on BS because of misleading photos that you guys have posted online! And I told the girl that I was from out of town and that I will be giving a review about the food! If you ask me, I’ll give it two stars out of five maybe one and that was because the yams is jamming and the greens was OK! Other than that, they need to fix their policy and get a bigger sign with some white letters that are big enough for people to see that it says check your food before you go! And some may say why didn’t I and again because everyone else’s food was perfect so I figured get yours and go! Lesson learned!

Horrid food. I will definitely not be coming back to this place. Food was not cooked. Completely unprofessional when confronted about food that was uncooked. Very bad business. Will not repeat. The News will also know about this shortly as I'm going public with this. They portray good food, but when errors are made no responsibility is taken. Completely unprofessional. Stated I was gonna get a refund and did not. Bad business and very unprofessional.

I've tracked down and eaten at 90% of the soul food spots across Charlotte metro... I was with my two young kids. That's one adult, one eight year old and one six year old. I ordered wings, chicken tenders and shrimp.... no drinks and my bill was $135! Including a mandatory $22 tip for takeout that I couldn't adjust. Nah B This place is wack. Tenders were crunchy and dry.... Wings were underwhelming and shrimp tasted like it came from the drive thru somewhere. Don't believe the hype folks. I'll never be back.

The food has been way overly seasoned the last few times I've eaten there. Literally EVERYTHING was over seasoned. They use too much salt seasoned spices

The Buttermilk Chicken wings dinner with 4 pieces of chicken is $35. They sit $35 DRY RUB CHICKEN IN COLLARD GREEN JUICE, so that by the time it arrives it is wet, soggy, and the skin is falling off. Instead of separating the chicken from the sides. Also, one of our $35 chicken wing dinners was missing 1 piece of chicken. I advised Stacy, The Owner….. she does not seem to genuinely care. So order from here if you want to throw away money, because SOGGY/WET chicken that is supposed to be DRY RUB, is not edible. I do not mind the cost of the food, but I EXPECT to be able to enjoy the food I paid and WAITED for. The food normally tastes good, which is why I was willing to pay and wait for it.
