The drinks at Hoppin’ were solid, but my experience was ruined by the bartender’s shady practices. He was adding his own tip without consent, which is completely unacceptable. Both times I swiped my card, my total should’ve been around $24 plus tax, yet I was charged $30 each time. I wanted to try the beer special for 25% off, but with the way he was upcharging, I didn’t even bother risking another charge. It’s a cool spot, but I can’t support a place where the staff is taking advantage of customers like this.

A cool concept, but the staff was very unhelpful. Someone stole our coats off one of the chairs upstairs and no one was willing or available to help find them, even though there are cameras and everything up there. The phone number we were given when we asked for a manager or someone who can help was not responsive.

I don’t know if this will reach the people it needs to reach but their staff especially at the very end of the night are my LITERAL HEROES. Here I am, drunk..crying with a dead phone and they took me inside even after they closed…let me charge my phone and got me a glass of water. They were extremely reassuring and helped me calm myself. That was a bad situation that could’ve been incredibly worse if it wasn’t for the bouncers/front desk people of hoppin. Thank you guys! I made it home safe.

Saw this place online. Was looking for a spot I could chill for a few with my dog and listen to some live acts. I don't drink alcohol but if I did. I'd be presented with a large selection of assorted brewed beverages and other options of drink choices available as well. They do not serve food but there is a food truck just in the rear and around the bend follow the brick road to what will be a vessel that houses the most delicious street tacos ice tasted to date. If you are kind and patient you may get it delivered to your seat. The staff is friendly and attentive and helpful. All while wearing a genuine smile and grateful you joined them. But don't take my word for it. Come check it out for yourself. Everyone's experience of different. Yours may be better than mine or the next.

Pretty Kool bar with over 50 beers to choice from. When you walk in they sink your cc with the wrist band and you pay as you go how it works is you scan your wrist band and you pore your own beer. You get charged by the Oz. The only thing I didn't like is some of the machines were off and they over charged a little.

Jacob gave us amazing service. A tap was out and and immediately and quickly changed the keg so I could have the drink I wanted. New to Charlotte and will be coming back frequently.

Being asked for my card to “start a tab” as soon as you hit the door is insane.. i didn’t care for a number of things 1) wearing a bracelet linked to my debit card. 2) no receipts. 3) A dog roaming around 4) somewhat rude bartenders.. etc you’re better off getting their “mystery beer flavors” the bar drinks are trash…also I was using the restroom then some random girl watched through the opening asking if she left her phone in the stall staring dead at me!! (After being told no and to go away twice)… Outside reeks of propane fumes … like where was the food?!? First and last time here.

I’ve been able to DJ here a couple of times and the atmosphere, the staff, and the crowd are always very pleasant! They have a great selection of beers on tap and the mix drinks are good as well! There’s always a great DJ on the scene as well to keep you moving and plenty of tvs to watch sports.

I was blown away by this place. I’m here from Houston visiting my sister that lives here and she had never been here either. Came around 3 on a Friday and it wasn’t busy, we were greeted before we were even all the way in, they asked if we’d been there before and then gave us a pretty thorough run down of everything. Really easy to use the taps, they have a really fun Photo Booth thing upstairs too!! They mentioned they might open one up in Houston soon so I’ll be keeping my eye out for that. The food truck was a 10/10 also. Highly recommend!!!!
