We stopped here on a Friday night for a bite to eat and it didn’t disappoint. Their pizza was phenomenal! We just got a pepperoni pizza and it was truthfully one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The service was quick and our waitress was so kind! When we are back in Charlotte this will be a spot we will definitely come back too!

Ok so splitting my review into food and costs here —
Food: generally always good, pizzas are delicious and veg lasagna is spot on. Appetizers could def be bigger for the price…
Cost: I was disappointed to see all the fees, including 3.5% credit card costs, $3.50 pp for cake cutting (it said $2.50 on website), $4 each for side sauces… we came for a bday and ended up paying $28 in cake fees (we bought the cake separately from Harris teeter and asked to cut it here), $7 in credit card fees, and $16 for extra sauces. I totally get needing to cover business costs but that felt excessive to me, especially with a party of 8 all paying for food and drinks! I would highly suggest to ownership to be more flexible on this because I’d rather have this money go to tip and service rather than costs I was not expecting.

We had the garden pizza with pepperoni ($4 extra for 6 slices, don't recommend it) which was pretty tasty. The intermezzo salad was very fresh. The $12 crepe was good but overpriced for the size. Coffee is available and of good quality but it only comes in a french press carafe, about 3 cups, $8.- We sat outside for the breeze but the traffic is super loud.

The patio is so lovely, the food is delicious, and service is always friendly. Such a quaint, cozy little known charlotte spot - have been coming here for 10+ years and it never disappoints!
This place provides the most consistently positive experience and quality food I’ve ever experienced. Consistency might not sound like a “rave” review, but that’s kind of the whole point. I know to anticipate absolute perfection (and excellence in execution) of a menu that leaves no taste unanswered. Beyond the perfection of the food, the service from Intermezzo’s team is also unmatched, consistently. They are kind, hardworking, and accommodating—even in the busiest moments of their days. It’s difficult to find restaurants that feel like the ones we grew up with—but this is it. The experience with the environment, the people and the food adds up to far more the sum of the individually excellent parts.
*I write this review for Sofija, and honestly hope nobody reads it and hinders my ability to find a bar seat
