Ordered jerk chicken through Uber eats. This is the worse version of jerk I’ve ever tasted. Sweet rice and peas 🤮. Spicy macaroni. No jerked jerk chicken. Looks like it was baked . I’m sorry but this isn’t for me . Hopefully this helps some From Chicago eat jerk often… this is for people who don’t know

Took my Trini fiancé whose from Brooklyn, NY here because I've never had a issue, and honestly thought it was best in Charlotte. I raved about it for a long time. However today was very disappointing. My son loved his Jerk chicken with peas and rice, it looked great. My fiancé got ox tails and " rasta pasta". However this isn't what she was expecting AT ALL. They said they "made it to order", which still seemed to take a long time for that. Placed order at 4:13p didn't get order to leave until 4:45p. Made it home and she was extremely disappointed. She expected something more creamier and different noodles. However she received a TOTALLY different dish. This was just regular pasta salad with Rotini noodles. Something they don't use or do in comparison to "authentic Jamaican restaurants" in Brooklyn, NY.

The oxtail turned out to be pork neck bones. Little pieces of oxtail. Green tastes like vinegar.

My dinner was ruined because I thought I was getting some Rasta pasta. Instead I got what looks like a spoiled pasta salad… it smelled horrendous and was very dry. I didn’t even touch it because the smell made me gag. It’s very disappointing leaving a review like this about a place I’ve talked so highly of in the past. I’ve ordered from here twice in the past and this by far is the worst experience all around. My wife spent so much money and I have to go back out and settle for something else I don’t want… 😔 I really wish you could smell this! It’s so bad.

My wife had the oxtail and she said hers wasn’t very pleasing. The oxtails were very tough.

Ordered a large ox tail, small brown stew chicken, small jerk chicken and got more food in the small containers. When I asked about the size, they had an attitude and said that was the correct amount. Last time spending money here.

Girl at the front desk had attitude for no reason, then they charged $50 for two oxtails that had nothing but fat on them, then the dining area was filthy..!! I would never go there again, I feel like I got scammed.. and they bottled waters are $1,50.. you’ve been warned don’t do it.

I had been going to this restaurant for years when I lived in Charlotte. I was recently passing through Charlotte and brought my fam with me to try out the food after a long day at the airport. I placed an online order at the South Tryon location, expecting a quick pickup. When I arrived, I was informed—without prior notification—that my order was canceled due to them running out of oxtail and jerk chicken. The staff recommended I call their other location, so I did. I explained to them what had happened with my previous order and they confirmed they had the items but wouldn’t take my order over the phone,(due to them closing in about 45 mins) telling me to come in person.

After driving 12 minutes to the second location, I arrived with 20 minutes before closing, only to find the kitchen already cleaning up. The staff member I’d just spoken to over the phone then claimed they were out of food and “didn’t know what to tell me.” I explained I’d just called, and she admitted it was her I spoke with, but said, “That was a while ago”—even though it had been only 12 minutes. No apology, just a dismissive attitude from start to finish. The lack of communication, disregard for a confirmed order, and dismissive attitude I received when I arrived at the second location was unacceptable. I’ve been recommending this place for years, but I can’t continue to do so if this is how they’re doing business now.

The food is trash please don't waste ya $$ or ya time tough oxtails and curry chicken got no flavor threw plate in trash

I was having a good day until the customer service was very terrible . It made the atmosphere just feel like negative vibes . I also asked him how the food taste and he gonna say he never had it . Smh food good but I’ll skip out on with it there negative attitude .

The food did not disappoint at all!! I ordered the curry chicken (small plate) and I had a nice portion for the price. The chicken was fall off the bone tender and just right flavor. I had the collard greens as my side and they were definitely made different from what I’m used too.. spicy, sweet and bitter at the same time with sautéed carrots and onions.. I must say they were definitely a party to my taste buds! The service was quick, I waited less than 10 minutes for my food which was hot and fresh. The atmosphere has Jamaican colors.. just missing the music but overall it was clean inside. This is definitely my go to place for real authentic Jamaican food! #Respect

The food is bomb....but the service is so bad..... I can not. Sm.veg plate is $11.99 and she wanted to charge me extra because she didn't want to take the time and key in the correct price....I went there with the intention to place more than one oder, but because of her energy I changed my mind. The owner will continue to lose customers if he puts unprofessional birds with bad attitudes to serve the food.

The jerk chicken was fantastic it had the right spice to it. I definitely will be back. Best Jamaican food in charlotte.
