That food was fire??????, first time there today, the amount was right, the taste was right, real authentic taste ,the price was good.

Food was really good just HOT, which is fine. I didn’t know there would be onions in the curry shrimp plate. That’s my fault for not asking, but maybe add the main ingredients on the menu for each item. Otherwise, it was excellent, especially the yams.

Absolutely poor experience. I have tried multiples times to give this place the benefit of the doubt. But every time they come up short. This is the third time that I have had items missing. The service is absolutely lackluster. As if they don’t care about their job or their clients. Cannot understand why somebody would want to work at a restaurant and not have customer service.

I live in South Carolina 1.5hrs away. Finally I get myself some collard greens! And there's more peas in the rice! Unlike #caribbeanhut ???

Came here to try some jamaican food from a new spot and after reading all the reviews I didn’t expect to leave dissatisfied. The Mac and cheese had absolutely no flavor except and overwhelming disgusting taste of fish. I also ordered brown stew chicken with gravy and it wasn’t bad WITH the gravy but besides that the chicken alone was extremely dry. The rice and peas I got with it tasted like it had been sitting for days. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone just spend your $15 somewhere else.

Iv been all over jamaica, so I know what authentic jamaican food taste like and this ain't it , this place is disgusting and Disrespectful like who is the cook ??? Who is he /she cooking for, I would not even give that to a mongro dog in jamaica, the Brown stew chicken was not seasoned at all seems like they just poured the bottle of Grace Browning sauce on it and that's it , DISGUSTING!!!! DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY......

I went to the South Tryon location near South End. I believe this location is better than the other. I had the curry goat, collards, and rice and peas. I the goat was 100. Tender, flavorful. Probably he best goat I’ve had at a restaurant. Sides were fine. I’ll try the jerk chicken next.

Second visit thought I d give them a second try, same result rude. They have a sign posted be kind to their staff. Staff need to take a dose of customer service. Staff should treat each patron with respect and hospitality. Definitely lost two large catering jobs for your business. When the Staff act like they are doing you a favor you shouldn't spend money there. Lost a great customer and business contract opportunity. Train your staff to be kind, culture shouldn't hinder hospitality.

I have been popping in and out of Irie for three years now. The food is priced on the higher end. The serving size is great. I have tried the brown stew chicken. However, most of the time, I eat here, I get the curry chicken, red beans and rice, bake macaroni, and cheese with aside of cabbage. Everything tastes great, with the exception of the food not being seasoned well. It is a little on the bland side, but it's always fresh and hot and never dry.. Also, understand that everyone can't eat well seasoned food.My beans and rice were fully cooked. My cabbage was fresh, so it was still a little crunchy but juicy / healthier. The baked macaroni and cheese is a cheesy however not very seasoned. Also, this time, I tried something different because I saw a special for the seafood soup. It was amazing. It was really good. It was a little on the spicy side (which I loved but for the sake of the review just a heads up to people who don't like or cannot tolerate spicy), and it tastes a lot like Louisia gumbo. The atmosphere is dark and not too pleasant. However, there is a place to sit and wait for your food. At times, it can get crowded because of the small space. The environment is in a rough area of North charlotte. However, it does not feel unsafe. The customer service could be a lot better. However, I do not ever have to wait long to receive my food.I'm normally in and out within 15 time frame due to my food already being laid out in front of me and I watch them make my platter. Also, the beef and chicken Patty's are great. I do not come here often, but when I do, I am satisfied. Thanks. For your time, I hope this helps.Parking: It's shared parking with the other stores within the plaza. However there's plenty of parking spots available right in front of the establishment to park in.

This place is s always so hit-and-miss. I've ordered food to-go from here on several occasions, and when it's good, it's amazing, but when it's bad, it's the worst! On my second to last visit, they were out of rice and peas, plantain, and cabbage, which are all staples for carribbean food. On my most recent visit, the curry chicken with the rice and peas were great, but they gave me some dried out plantain that had obviously been sitting out all day. If the food was good on a consistent basis, they'd be one of my very favorite restaurants in Charlotte. Hope they get their act together. ??

I came up from south Carolina to look at houses in North Carolina because I will be moving there soon. So after a long day of house hunting. I stop by this place to order oxtil plate for myself and jerk shrimp for my daughter. The oxtil was nothing but fat and bones no meat at all. The candyyam was awful. Then i was charge 5 for a can Sprite and a little juice over price. A waste of 45.00. I will never go back
