The coffee is really good however the service, not so much. The cashier is rarely friendly. She just asks what ya having and offers no price.. she isn't customer service oriented. Others that work there seem nice.

Best coffee in town. They roast their own coffee and have many different varieties to suit you. They also have some delicious muffins.

Four stars for the coffee and pleasant servers.

If you have not had a Sunrise Round, you haven't had the best breakfast muffin ever made. Tasty fruit like blueberries and peaches and more in an oatmeal base, such goodness.

Great place to chillout after campus. They have various types of coffee from all over the world.

Great locally owned coffee shop.

Won't go back. Work uptown and have been several times (I kept trying). Friendliness seems to be only given to certain people from the manager/owner who takes payment. Workers are always nice but if the experience you leave with is terrible from management (who you give $ to), it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, worse than the at times burnt coffee. But I'll miss those muffins. Also they are not closed!

Awful customer service.

There's one particular employee who doesn't get my order right. She's a bit aggressive when you correct her. Only a few of the employees are pleasant. I used to go to the university location for years. Literally from its opening to its abrupt close. I support this location because I'm not a Starbucks fan. I'll just make the hike to amelies next time.

I've been a patron of Jacksons Java since they were located next to Harris Teeter in the university area. The coffee is always on point and the desserts, especially Oreo cheesecake, is absolutely amazing. Even after they've moved, the coffee and ambiance remains the same. As a Charlotte native, I'm glad that some businesses I grew up with as a kid are still flourishing.

Worked across the street for 4 months and walked by without seeing the sign till today. It's a big sign... I'm blind... But, the dark roast is delicious and so is the sausage burrito!

I like this place. All my coffee-connoisseur friends choose this place over the other options around uptown.

This coffee shop is a bit hidden away in Wells Three, but worth the walk even if your office is elsewhere uptown. The coffee is great, the breakfast sandwiches are tasty, and everything is reasonably priced. I always get the brewed coffee and same-day refills are only a dollar. As other reviewers have mentioned, the line moves quickly as you order with one person and pay with another. If you order a sandwich the wait can get a bit long, but otherwise this place is highly recommended if you're looking for something other than Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, or one of the other overly expensive coffee places that have opened up in uptown recently.
