I am a student at UNC Charlotte and I used to frequently take the light rail to both the Noda and South End locations but I have stopped going for good. The only real reason I kept coming back is because I like to eat clean (natural), meaning I like to avoid foods with artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, and sweeteners and Jeni's is one of the few ice cream parlors that keeps their ingredients clean and unfortunately, 99% of ice cream parlors in the US use dirty (artificial) ingredients in their ice creams. Despite their effort to keep their ingredients clean, their ice cream just doesn't taste good (especially all their crazy flavors). It all tastes like it was premade and not made fresh there in the store. They do however, make their waffle cones right there in the store but the waffle cones are horrible as they taste extremely salty. The ice cream itself is also very expensive. $9 for 3 tiny scoops of ice cream and $1 for the waffle cone on top of that. As if that weren't enough, they want a tip on top of that. They also sell their pints of ice cream in their stores as well. But they are pushing $12 for tiny pints of ice cream and they don't even taste that good. At least Publix sells the same size pints for half that price.

Delicious and creative ice cream flavors! I got the brambleberry crisp (i.e. oven-toasted oat streusel and a sweet-tart brambleberry jam of blackberries and blackcurrants layered throughout vanilla ice cream), brown butter almond brittle (i.e. brown-butter-almond candy crushed into buttercream ice cream), and gooey butter cake (i.e. cream cheese ice cream layered with crumbles of soft vanilla cake and swirls of made-from-scratch caramel-butterscotch sauce) in a waffle bowl. These three flavors are some of the most popular choices and made an excellent combination that was creamy, sweet, and rich. You're able to sample different flavors, and I like how they explained in detail what each flavor contains. Macy and all the workers had a great attitude, and it's cool how they make the waffle cones and bowls fresh in front of you. It makes the whole store and neighborhood smell so good.

Showed up Friday at 10pm and there was a line of about 20 people. Honestly, so worth it & lien moved relatively fast. Some of the absolute best Ice cream I've had. They even make their cones fresh in front of you! Don't skip out on this place.

I love JENI’S. I used to live in Chicago and was there when JENI’S first launched. It’s been 4-years since I’ve had JENI’S so I was excited to see to a location here in Charlotte during my visit. This location did not disappoint! The service was great! Lis (I’m not sure if spelling their name correctly) was so helpful and patient in helping me fulfill my order since I was there with my doggo. Great service! The ice cream was as delicious as I remembered. I will definitely come back to this location if I visit Charlotte again.

Ice cream had the fancy handcrafted taste. The dark chocolate was creamy and not too sweet. One of my favorites in a long time. I also had some almond brown butter crunch. I liked the texture. My husband found it too sweet but I liked it. I found his peanut butter ice cream too sweet but he liked it! The only thing to watch for is this is an ice cream store that does a lot of cake mix ins, so beware GF people! They label it well, but it's often easy to forget that there could be cake in your ice cream.

The best ice cream in charlotte!!! Waffle cones made fresh!! I love the dark chocolate! they always have limited flavors that make it unique and fun everytime you go. The service is always phenomal and the store is VERY clean!!
