Finally had the chance to stop in. Ordered pastrami on rye with Swiss and spicy mustard. My hopes were high and Joan's did not disappoint. Service was quick and the food was outstanding. Will be visiting again.

Don’t be scared of the price, this is not any ordinary sandwich. Best pastrami outside of New York or Los Angeles that I have had.

Food took a few minutes to prepare but tasted great. Pastrami had a little too much fat for me, but, of course, that lead to an amazing sandwich. The menu is a little pricey for a deli, and the location is a little hidden. Definitely worth a visit if you're at Metropolitan.

First review I’ve left in a while. Yeah it’s almost $20 for a sandwich but it has a good amount of meat. The quality on the Pastrami was top notch I even bought a second one for the road. I will be back for sure. If they offered a double meat for $35 I’d happily pay it ?.

Have ordered the plain cheesecake a couple times. Outstanding cheesecake with a dusting of cinnamon on top makes a nice touch too. Haven’t tried anything else but the great cheesecake is a wonderful start! YUM!!!

The chocolate cheesecake is incredible!

Authentic, delicious and friendly! A little hard to find if you don’t know where to look. Faces the greenway with a lovely bit of outdoor seating. Worth a visit.

Mediocre is kind. We each had a pastrami sandwich. The pastrami was so fat— each piece— that we had trouble eating them. Expensive and would not go back!

Great service and conversation. Went for our first visit yesterday afternoon. Ordered two sandwiches: Pastrami/Corned Beef and a Pastrami Reuben. The sandwiches (even the small) are hugh. Everything was prepared with quality. Unfortunately the piece of Pastrami served from yesterday wasn’t our favorite. It was extremely fatty and grisly. I had the half/half sandwich and made a half sandwich meal using just the corned beef. My wife’s Reuben was inedible ☹️. The leaner part of the Pastrami tasted good but you couldn’t enjoy a good bite of it with what we were served. Tried to review using the emailed receipt I received but their system is having some type of issue and I couldn’t complete the review. I’m sure the establishment would have made adjustments had we consumed our lunch near their establishment using the outside tables. We took our sandwiches home to eat.
