One of my favorite sushi restaurants in Charlotte located off East Boulevard in Dilworth. The location is fun, surrounded by retail and within walking distance to other restaurants. This part of Dilworth is being rejuvenated, I assume to capitalize on the upcoming opening, South & Hollis.
Highly recommend Konnichiwa's food, drinks, service, and ambiance.

We were excited to try this place—the food was tasty, beautifully presented, and parking was easy. Unfortunately, not long after our meal, we both began feeling unwell, with all signs pointing to bad fish. It’s disappointing because the experience started out so promising, and we truly wanted to enjoy it.
The is a great Japanese spot. The crab Rangoon are the best I've had

Great local sushi spot I keep coming back to!
I’ve been to Konichiwa in Charlotte several times now and it’s consistently a solid experience. The sushi is fresh and flavorful — the Maruu , Negitoro and Salmon Lover Roll are personal favorites and definitely worth trying.
They have a very extensive menu, which can be a bit overwhelming at times. While the variety is great, I think a more focused selection could make the experience even better.
Parking is a plus — there’s a covered lot behind the shop, which is super convenient especially on rainy days.
Prices are a little higher than some of the other neighborhood sushi spots, but that’s understandable since they also offer quality steak and seafood dishes alongside sushi.
Overall, it’s a good spot whether you’re grabbing a casual dinner or going on a nice night out. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Tasty, friendly, great value. We came for lunch and tried the Bento, Hibachi, and Mie Goreng. If I could eat their Mie Goreng instead of lo mein for the rest of my life, I would. Highly recommend.
All of the food was on point and reasonably good value for price. The staff was friendly. I’ll be curious to see what sushi-lovers think as that appears to be their big ticket item. Based on my experience, I would expect all their offerings to be strong. Planning to return soon!

This is a hidden gem in Charlotte. Although technically in Dilworth, it’s close to South End and it’s the best sushi I’ve had in Charlotte so far. Somehow it’s never packed and you can walk right in on a Saturday night with no wait, which is shocking considering how good the food is. We got the crispy rice with spicy tuna, hadouken roll, edamame, and chicken/shrimp hibachi and everything was amazing. Very fast and great service as well. Highly recommend this spot if you are looking for good sushi in Charlotte!
