Friendliest staff, great local IPA, Higher Ground. Ordered the Shrimp and Grits and the Pressed Philly Cheese Steak. BEST Shrimp and Grits I've ever had. Cheesesteak flavorful, much better pressed than in a regular hoagie and they don't skimp on the meat! The side of potato wedges we delicious. Don't miss this place!
Service good, food good, what else nice atmosphere voice thing on for review as wife talks in background. WHAT? Neptune platter is really good fried broccoli sauce is excellent barbecue taco good. Cheesy grits souffle yummy!!!
Big tacos great flavor
Really unique atmosphere. Good service and good food!
Had not been here in a few years and we were in the area so decided to try again. The seafood creole was fantastic, loads of shrimp, scallops and fish. My daughter wanted fish tacos and couldn't decide which she the server allowed her to get one blackened mahi and one salmon. Prices are very reasonable for the portions. Good draft beer and Saturday had a $3 mimosa brunch special.
Gumbo was outstanding, tacos were excellent, prices were more than reasonable, and while the service could’ve been a little bit better it’s not enough to detract from what was otherwise a great experience. Definitely be back.
One of my new favorite spots to eat when I'm in Charlotte. Love the laid back vibe of the staff! the food was words can't even describe delicious!! Danette our waitress, server, fabulous food presenter was amazing? !! I will definitely be making this a regular spot to check out don't forget tacos Tuesdays!!
Today's Triple D's visit was a killer lunch! Guy Fieri wasnt kidding!! Gumbo, Shrimp n Grits, Pesto Pork tacos, pickled beets & lobsta macncheese! Gumbo & the shrimp n grits were the favorite this time.

I still don’t know why anyone would eat here? Look at the difference?
Civiche, wings, cuban and grits were all AMAZING. Also had a Washington apple and house margarita. 12/10. Yum.
Triple D fail, again. Our first red flag should have been the giant notice on the menu that said “food cooked well will not be refunded or exchanged” on both sides. So complaints are obviously a common issue. We went on their Taco Tuesday for $2 tacos but you have to get a side. Super confusing menus and the assumption we knew all their oddity rules.Bartender took forever to greet us or serve us.Out of our first choice.Forgot to bring the side that was mandatory to order. My tacos were good. That’s a lot of food for a total of $7. Both salmon tacos were loaded with food and enough for a meal. The side of black beans salad was a waste and was bathed in far too much vinegar. My husband’s seared tuna was very iffy. A tuna steak was served with huge mounds of mushy southern sides that didn’t pair well at all. He left most of it.If we were local we wouldn’t return and are surprised that Food Network featured them.
This is what you call a dive! Awesome spot. Had the shrimp po boy and it was unreal yeah. Definitely going back.
The seafood creole is so delicious ?! I could eat this 3 times a week!
