We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in and seated very quickly, even though the restaurant was full. Same with the service.
Now with the food. Amazing! Authentic Ecuadorean food, very tasty, fresh, generous portions.
We are thrilled to have this restaurant in Charlotte with a great variety of dishes.

Burnt food, false advertising, and awful service — avoid this place.

We came in excited to try the food, but what we were served was completely burnt (see attached photos — this isn’t an exaggeration). It was dry, charred, and barely edible. We politely asked for a replacement and were told no because we had taken “a few bites.” Of course we did — how else are you supposed to realize it’s burned?

We spoke directly with the owner, Winter, who not only dismissed our concern but casually admitted that the food isn’t made fresh, despite what the menu claims. According to him, they buy it from somewhere else, which means it’s likely frozen and simply reheated. That’s false advertising — plain and simple.

Between the terrible customer service, the inedible food, and being lied to about what we’re eating, this was a total waste of money.
Don’t fall for the fake “fresh” claims — you deserve better.

I went out of the way to try Ecuadorian food in Charlotte. The fish stew was decent with plantain chips accompanying it. If I were to come back, I would try a different dish.
