I used Lawrence Catering for my birthday party. I ordered oxtail, curried goat, brown stewed chicken, rice and peas. Everything was delicious. My Italian, American and Jamaican guests raved about the food. Thumbs up for this restaurant.
Always fresh.
This is by far the worst so called Jamaican food I’ve ever came across, first off it has no seasoning the brown stewed chicken and the very brown curry goat was raw to smell so I just tossed it all. I will blame uber for the leaking and the food all mixed up but this is trash. Where is the curry?

We just discovered this little gem of Jamaica! Good polite service, tasty food, and amounts are plentiful. A little tricky getting into the parking lot, but that should not deter you! We dined on my favorite dish! Oxtails. Hubby had oxtails, rice n beans, yams, cabbage, and plantains. Of course, he got their homemade sorrel.
I had oxtails, rice n beans, oxtails, cabbage, and plaintains, and I had to try the mac and cheese. I had the house drink, which I believe consisted of lemonade and fruit punch! We also, of course, got our beef patties to go!
If you haven't been here,I come. by 3011 West Blvd in Charlotte NC and check them out!

Honestly, Jamaican food in Charlotte,NC is TRASH this is the 3rd time at this restaurant alone (trying not to complain and give them the benefit of the doubt) but nope. I'm over giving Jamaican food here a chance even all the other establishments I've tried Island Cuisine also trash. It's just a hustle for them atp, greed for the sale. As if to say give them whatever, these Americans don't know what real Jamaican food taste like, some of us black Americans do though! All 3 times my food has lacked the greatness I know it could be. I ordered sides of plantains and mac &Cheese (pictured) and (not pictured) Curry chicken and rice. Chicken was flavorless just really yellow from the curry and rice consistency was way too sticky. Never had a chicken roti where I had to open it up b/c all of the chicken was basically bones. Do better Benjamin, food tastes like how a Karen would make it on her themed island dinner night.

Lawrence Caribbean Restaurant was recommended to me by friend after I expressed I was looking for a great Jamaican restaurant. The location has both indoor/outdoor seating but opted for the to-go option. With it being my first time visiting this location, I was really excited to try their Red Snapper. I also ordered curry goat and oxtails for later.
Each dish came with rice/beans and plantains - I substituted the rice/beans for Mac-n-Cheese. The mac-n-cheese was divine especially with the curry goat and oxtails. The curry was spicy - just like I like it - and the oxtails were so tender they were falling off the bone!
The Red Snapper, however fell short of all my expectations. It lacked flavor and was overcooked to that the meat was extreme tough. With it being the most expensive item on the menu (priced at Market Price) I definitely expected better.
Overall, I highly recommend checking this restaurant out. I'll definitely return for the oxtails and/or curry goat.
The food was terrible. It was my first time trying them and will be my last . I ordered the jerk chicken dark . The chicken was dry and the sauce on the side didn't help at all. The beef patty was flat and flavorless. Never again!!

I’m confused as to why you wouldn’t put the meat in sauce and just service dry chicken. Then only gave me this small thing of sauce. I ordered on Uber so I have no clue what the customer service is like but I’m pissed about my food.

The oxtail were tender but had absolutely no seasoning or flavor to them whatsoever. The rice was a bit chewy and the plantains were not ripe so there was no sweetness to it at all. And there were large chunks of ginger slices in the gravy that I kept biting into thinking it was pieces of meat and if you have ever bitten into ginger you know how horrid that taste can be. The patties were extremely dry not flaky at all and the meat inside was dry and chalky as well.
