It’s a cozy place inside, a place to relax and catch up with friends. Did not try the food. My only critique is the beer options are mostly all hop forward and there was one dark beer, whereas I prefer something in between.
$15 salad…looks like it came from Harris Teeter
Very little chicken and bowl wasn’t even close to full. Disappointing for $15.
We love coming here for Trivia night, good beers and a creative chef - good food too!
Note to the staff - PLEASE turn on the AC on 80°+ days 😭 it gets SO HOT even in the evening that we’re overheating during the ~2hr trivia, just miserably hot with no air moving
UPDATE BACK FOR TRIVIA AND AC IS ON 💙
Excellent balance of quality food and beer. Bar and Restaurant!
Loved the quesadillas!!
Great atmosphere, my favorite brewery to visit when I am in clt
Always amazing!
The number one word found in legion brewing’s Google reviews is pretzel, yet they decided to remove it from the menu. Please bring this menu staple back. The bread may be more economical to produce but it does not compare to the pretzel.
#justiceforthepretzel #bringbackthepretzel
they no longer have their pretzel, which has been voted the best soft pretzel in charlotte multiple times. why on earth would they take this off the menu??? are they insane?
It's my favorite brewery with great beer. Bummer, they got rid of the best thing on the menu. I literally come here for the Pretzel and beer. Their new substitute pretzel is def not the same or as good. 🙁

Add deep fried homemade pickles to your starter menu and the three star will turn into a five star also your cheeseburger empanada was a no-go thank you
This place is great. Some of my favorite beers in Charlotte and a really friendly staff. One of my favorite aspects of this place is is super kid friendly!
Great for a beer with a friend, a day out with the family or if you're trying to catch a college football game. Really can't say enough good things about Legion!
Came for the pretzel stayed for the beer
First of all, would you just take a minute to look at this pretzel glistening in the sun?! It was a little crispy, a little chewy, and it had the right amount of salt sprinkled across the top. It's accompanied by a delicious cup of beer cheese and whole grain mustard. The mustard mixed with the beer cheese cuts some of that richness and adds a little bite. However, the beer cheese is pretty dang good and borderline drinkable at the same time. It also comes out piping hot so make sure to slice it up and give it a minute to cool. My advice is come for the pretzel and stay for the atmosphere. Although, I would imagine there are probably some other delicacies on their menu as well. The restaurant has a super cool rustic interior and they also have a variety of both indoor and outdoor seating.
After lunch at Whiskey Warehouse, we popped right across the street at Plaza Midwood to Legion Brewing Charlotte…
Upon entering into Legion Brewing at Plaza Midwood Charlotte, we were attracted to the wooden furniture throughout its premise. The tables, the bar counter top and even the wooden beams at the brewing area – they all point to a homely and friendly atmosphere here. At Legion Brewing, they bring the community together. Whether, you’re dining, chilling or even working, Legion provides a clean positive vibe for everyone to enjoy its premise.
There are some daily specials/program at Legion Brewing. But we couldn’t really make out what does “Vinyl on Tap” meant or whether there was any deals. Hence, we went right ahead for some recommendations instead. This time, they had the following on tap at Legion Brewing Charlotte:
Easy Drinker
Penguin Pilsner
Lunar Daze
House Sparrow Saison
Hop Forward
Juicy Jay
Mango Juicy Jay
Tiny Dancer
Hopchiller
Tart & Funky
Supernova (Cherry Lemon)
Sparkle Party
Ikimasui
Gluten Free
Hard Seltzer
Hard Cider
Dark & Roasted
Slainte
Quit Your Wine-ing
Ghost of Kiev
Red Eyes Black Dragon
Wine
Stone Bay
Archer Roose
Diamarine
Marc Cellars
As you can see from the selection, Legion Brewing has its grounds covered. If you’re a craft beer lover, you have the pilsners, IPAs and Stouts. There are also seltzers and ciders for those who wants a choice of gluten free. There are also wine and prosecco selections. With the non-alcoholic selection of soft drinks and kombucha, that’s pretty much everyone covered.
We asked for some IPA recommendations and this time, we had a sessions IPA (Tiny Dancer) as well as a juicy mango IPA (Mango Juicy Jay) which came up to a total of $14 (with $2 tips)…
