Such a wonderful location in Dilworth you're bound to love it as Jenny and I have. Here is my most recent review. we give it 10 out of 10 stars!!!!! Our second visit for my wife and I may have been even better than the 1st. Chef Chris has done it again. Our big discovery was the "Stuffed onions". Hidden as a vegetarian entrée we decided to share it between us as my wife had the "Honey Saffron chicken " and i had the "Sugar cured steak filet". The stuffed onions explode with layer after layer of flavors. Each as delightful as the other. The complex spice seasoning is difficult to describe but must be explored on your own. It complimented the steak in the most wonderful way. The saffron chicken is highly complex as well with many subtle flavors to be explored so it pays to separate the two for optimal enjoyment. Our server Andrew did well to suggest this as a side. Leluia continues to excite us months after opening and with the attention being given by the staff we can expect to see it into the future. 7/19/2025
Great Food. The service was excellent. From the option of infusing your water to consistent table wipe downs, the attention we received was impeccable. I highly recommend this experience and will be back
The whole experience was fantastic- Kevin, Dennis, and the rest of the staff were eager to make sure I had the best possible time while I enjoyed a dinner out on my own. The atmosphere feels relaxed yet upscale and special. The food was fantastic and unique- one of the best meals I've had in Charlotte. Kevin introduced me to the space giving me the history of the building, had wonderful recommendations on the menu, and was attentive without being overbearing. I can't wait to bring friends and family!
Bring your crew and take an Uber—trust me, it’s worth it. 🍸✨ Leluia Hall is taking reservations and you do NOT want to miss this! Cocktails? 🔥 Food? Even better.
✅ Best Caesar salad I’ve ever had
🌮 Salmon tacos = flavor explosion
🥩 Ribeye? Absolute perfection
🍋 Lemon risotto and potatoes? Addictive.
And leave room for dessert! We ordered the cheesecake and almost finished it before I could get a pic—that good.
Go hungry. Leave obsessed.

Leluia Hall is a stunning and thoughtful addition to the excellent restaurant group that includes Supperland, Ever Andalo, and Haberdish. Like Supperland, Leluia Hall is housed in a beautifully restored church, and while some of the original décor has been preserved, the updates breathe new life into the space, giving it a fresh and vibrant feel.
From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. We were promptly seated upon entering the charming lobby area (with a reservation), setting a positive tone for the evening. A nice touch was being offered still or sparkling water, with an optional infusion of lime, cucumber, or mint--a small but memorable detail that elevated the experience.
To drink, we ordered a glass of Chardonnay and the Chicha Morada. The Chicha was a non-alcoholic option and absolutely delicious--refreshing and flavorful.
Our meal included:
Chilean Sea Bass - Expertly cooked and wrapped in sweet potato, this dish was a standout. The chimichurri added a bright, herbaceous note that balanced the sweetness beautifully.
Jerk Duck - Incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The portion was generous, and the accompaniments--pickled vegetables, jalapeño, a creamy sauce, and a crisp salad--added layers of texture and taste.
Potato & Poe - A savory potato pancake topped with salmon roe. While it was enjoyable, I was hoping to try the other potato option, which was unfortunately sold out.
Vegetable Sauté - A medley of perfectly roasted vegetables, with the pickled mushrooms stealing the show--absolutely crave-worthy.
Overall, Leluia Hall delivers on both food and service. It's a welcome addition to the Charlotte dining scene, and I'm already planning my return to try the other potato dish, the sea bass ceviche, and more from their tempting menu. Highly recommend!
Minus 1 star because they were sold out of a few food items. Also had to pay to make an online reservation. I'd rather have to pay if I didn't show up.
We had a wonderful meal - everything was lovely - the food, the drinks, the team, the setting. Can't wait to go back to such welcoming restaurant!
Familiar anonymity. 3.5/5 overall
As usual, sharing my 4 domain scoring experience for our trip to LH last week.
Felt like I walked into Supperland 2.0- everything seemed the same. Layout, stairs right at the entrance, kitchen… it didn’t cry out a unique identity but just a plug and play in another locale. Menu looked the same just with different items, a bit disappointing. We had to adjust the whole table so my wife didn’t have her back in the way of servers walking between tables or using the POS system.
Great cocktail menu, and a good wine by the glass menu. Didn’t spend a lot of time looking at the bottle menu but we really enjoyed our cocktails and our server did well suggesting wines with courses.
Food: 3.5/5
Yellowtail crudo was incredible for the cold apps. Hot plates- best showing was the Brussels which are very similar to supperland (of course). Steak and risotto are benchmark items for cookery. NY strip was chewy and lacked any depth of flavor. Risotto was fine. Underwhelmed.
Service: 3.5/5
Very slow to get us drinks, BUT they had just opened (7 minutes to get water is a bit tough to swallow). Learning new menu and heavy on the bottle sell. Touch points a bit too wide with often empty glasses of water and a long wait for the check. Super engaged and friendly!
Absolutely incredible! From the atmosphere, to the food, to the people & the service...everything was amazing. A true fine dining experience!!!
Kevin was a really good server, very professional and friendly!! Seemed to know all about the menu.Food was delicious!!
Beautiful space! Especially loved the crab Louie and the crispy rice. Service was spectacular. Leluia Hall is a wonderful night out!

Love the food and atmosphere!!!
Excellent food! Outstanding variety! Wonderful service ! The decor is unbelievably beautiful. My husband snd I have eaten there and can highly recommend this restaurant!!!
This review is based on the rebranded restaurant "Phillips Place Bistro". I was excited to try it because I stumbled upon an ad for it on Instagram. I had never been to the original Bonterra before or had even heard about it. My husband and I went on a Friday night for dinner around 5:30. We asked to sit outside because inside seemed VERY loud, like it was more of a bar-type of place. We were seated out back because it was more shaded, which is what we asked for, but staring at a parking lot and the back of the building isn't exactly the greatest, but we overlooked it. As a suggestion, it would be nice if they put in large, tall planters, densely spaced, around the back patio, to hide the view of the parking lot. I ordered the $45 filet mignon, my husband had the rigatoni with meat sauce. My dish came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Let me begin by saying the meat did NOT look like filet mignon I'm used to seeing. It was MUCH thinner, and just...I don't know, meh. I didn't even touch the broccoli because it looked veeery overcooked. Definitely NOT worth $45. My husband wasn't impressed by his dish either. The "meat sauce" was actually shredded beef. When I see the words "meat sauce", I'm thinking, ground beef. That should be specified in the menu. Also, the bread and fancy butter that came before our dinner wasn't anything special either. The butter tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while, and I didn't really like the weird flavor. Enter in dessert. The waiter recommended the carrot cake, so that's what we got. Who doesn't like carrot cake, right? THIS carrot cake was probably the worst one I've ever had. Absolutely bland, no flavor, lacking in sugar, the spice that you taste in a carrot cake(cinnamon, nutmeg), shredded carrot, etc. The cream cheese in between the layers, or whatever that was supposed to be, was just some flavorless, white cream, and the "streusel" on top was just gritty sugary stuff. We were told it was made "in-house". That really proves nothing, but when you're told that, you think, oh, well then it *must* be good! All in all, this experience was a huge disappointment. We won't be back. Southpark is HUGELY overrated. I don't know what it is about this area. It's a wealthy part of town, the mall has expensive stores, but the restaurants/bakeries are just not up to par with quality you would expect for wealthy clientele. One and done for us.
Delicious brunch, great cocktails and friendly staff! I went with friends who come here every week for brunch and I agree with them, it’s a great place to hang out and enjoy a leisurely visit with friends. Will definitely be back when in the area.
We have been here many times. It’s a great place to stop for a cocktail and also to come for a fabulous steak dinner. The short ribs are consistently delicious! Highly recommend!
