I want to be as objective as possible. Im trying to play nice. Especially for a restaurant that charges your card for a reservation hold. Our reservation didn't get booked, so we sat at the bar. The service was good. My card got declined because it was locked. The bartender was patient while I figured it out. However, the food which is always my main focus. Let's talk about the food. It was rather disappointing. We opted for a small Salad, Chicken Parm, and Nutella pie. The only thing decent was the pie. It was huge, light and fluffy, and covered in caramel. The chicken Parm was a great size (2 big) breasts heavily breaded and covered in sauce and cheese, completely lacking flavor. The breading did have herbs. Additionally, it was completely greasey. You could squeeze the cutlet and the oil oozed. They definitely needed salt, too. The side of spaghetti was no different. The sauce was the same and lacked flavor. I did add fresh shaved parmesan, so the salt in that should have enhanced the flavor, but it was still lacking . The whole meal was void of flavor but looked esthetically palatable. I asked her opinion and she felt the same. Gave it a 2 out of 10. In fairness, she's Indian so she likes heavy flavor and spice, and I love strong seasoning, so this may not have been our cup of tea. So, take my review with a pinch of salt.

Our first visit and it was well worth it!! We made a reservation not knowing if it was going to be busy. Glad we did as it was packed. We waited about 5 minutes for our table. We later found out that there was party that had over 20 people and that out them a bit behind. We were seated and promptly greeted by our server, Grayson. He was pleasant and cordial. We made our meal choices from an excellent offering. Our soups arrived quickly and they were delicious. Our entrees took a bit longer. Gave them a little leeway in this as I am sure the kitchen was a bit backed up when 20+ orders came in at once! When the food arrived, it was well worthy the wait. Both meals were excellent. The pasta was on point. I was told it was made on site. The chicken parmesan was tender and was not overly breaded. The service was great. Grayson kept our glasses full and was attentive. The food was delicious. The restaurant had a phenomenal atmosphere. Go here if you are looking for the next best thing to going to Italy for a meal!!

Must be a reservation only place. Tried to walk in on a Sunday and was asked if we had a reservation. Not a SINGLE person in the lobby but was told it’s a 40 min wait, maybe didn’t want to serve us because we had a kid with us???? Either a reservation only place or not a family friendly restaurant.

Restaurant has a lively, neighborhood, cozy vibe. Fresh baked rolls served with olive oil with pepper flakes a good prelude. Shrimp oreganata looked great on menu but was a little bland. The breadcrumbs covering the shrimp did not taste seasoned. Nor did the shrimp. The pepper, olive oil sauce they were in was good, but I could not taste any garlic. The pasta it came with tasted fresh and was cooked al dente. My wife's dish, pasta with a mushroom sauce, was very good. Probably the best dish of the night. Sons ragitoni with sausage was above average. Atmosphere was great for a casual local Italian restaurant. Looking forward to trying other things on their menu.

Pleasantly surprised. So difficult to get reservations, but finally got here. Every bite at our table of 4 was wonderful. Started out with a request for citrusy mocktail and was so good others ordered. We ordered Pizza, rigatoni (fresh) and Lasagna. My husband has been ordering Lasagna in Charlotte area for over 30 years and said it was one of the best he has had. I typically don't like lasagna, but it was great. Service and delivery were excellent in a very crowded place. And personally think the prices are reasonable. Going back as there are many items on the menu I still need to try.

We stopped in one late afternoon for an early dinner on a Saturday. The restaurant was very busy and quoting a 35 minute wait. We decided to sit at the bar and had a wonderful experience. The Fig Picture, listed as a seasonal cocktail, was the best old fashioned I’ve had and was a very pleasant surprise. For an app, we tried the Prime Beef-Pork Meatballs which were delicious. For my main, I had the Italian Sausage Ravioli while my date had the Chicken Parmesan. We split the Nutella Pie for dessert. All of the food was amazing and the staff was attentive and friendly. We look forward to returning and trying something different on the menu!

I fully intend on going back and hopefully will change this to a 5 but for now I’m stuck at 4. The decor is great, really makes you feel like you’re walking into an old school Italian restaurant in the entry and then you go through the second set of doors and it’s an updated vibe with an old school feel. My only complaint was the chicken in my sandwich was very tough. I usually like my chicken well done but not so much that you physically have to rip it out to cut it. That being said, the Brussel sprouts were uniquely done and positively delicious. I’ll be back and I’m sure I could get the number up. It’s a great addition to the area and will definitely stand the test of time there.

Everything was great! The girl waiter was just wonderful ! I ordered ravioli, it was a masterpiece! It was delicious! I take away one star for the long wait to be seated at the table, I think you need to hire more hostesses that would not be such situations, because then at the entrance stood about 10 people and just waiting to be accepted. I'll be back again!

Worst table I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Way too small for 4 people, right outside the kitchen door getting bumped and buzzed constantly by staff and customers. Awful.

Always great food - those little pompidou peppers are a family favorite. Their house made pastas are shockingly good. Great staff.
