Whew! This is the best Italian I have ever eaten. The service was amazing, the food and atmosphere amazing and the drinks delicious! We got the mozzarella presentation and added salami, stuffed peppers and tomatoes, to die for! The lasagna was amazing down to the last bite! You can tell a lot of care and skill goes into everything they do there and I am happy to say I will be back! Heck I want to go back now! 5 stars but I wish I could give 10! The only thing that kinda sucked was the tables were way too small! But hey with food that good we were able to make room! Def go if you love Italian food!

Absolutely loved the Penne alla Vodka with the radiatori noodles - greattt flavor and just the right about of kick. I think I found my new favorite noodle. The Mozzarella Presentation was a large portion and came with two sides. BIG fan of the goat cheese-stuffed peppadew peppers. I actually felt bad for the table next to us when the server told them they were out. The only dislike was the Mozzarella needed salt to enhance the flavor.

Wow! The pasta here was divine. I had the pappardelle; the pasta was cooked to perfection; the sauce was flavorful and portioned perfectly with the pasta. The mama's salad was a great compliment; their house vinaigrette is a must-try. I can't wait to try more dishes on my next visit.

First our server Jameson was PHENOMENAL! The ambiance was so nice and romantic. The food was delicious too. The chicken and eggplant Parmesan was OUT OF THIS WORLD! We got it with the homemade noodles they make daily with it. 10/10!!!! The lasagna was ok. Go for chicken or eggplant parm. And that portions are HUGE!

My friend and I had lunch yesterday (8/4) - it was the first time either one of us had been to the restaurant. Arrived at 2pm, no reservation and were sat right away. The ambiance is so cute and welcoming (I was't expecting that from the outside). Almost wish we had sat at the bar and watched them make the mozzarella and pasta, but will do that next time. Food was delicious - we started off with the meatball appetizer - delicious! Yummy bread and oil was also brought to the table. We couldn't decide on which pasta to order, and after guidance from our awesome server, we both got the penne vodka. Definitely the best I've ever had in Charlotte! I'm an Italian girl from NJ and this is by far one of the best italian experiences I've had in the south. Can't wait to go back. Also - it was my birthday but I didn't want dessert (too full from lunch). Our server brought me a cannoli with a candle in it -in a to go box. So thoughtful. The total for our lunch was $31 - I was shocked how reasonably priced it was!

I was super excited to check out Little Mama's, even brought a friend from out of town with me. My experience and food was just OK. Our server seemed very new and forgot to bring our basic things every time he'd come to the table. Like coffee, with no cream or sugar and our food came out with no small plates. Just basic things, not a huge deal but made for a mediocre visit. I ordered the special for the day which was the French toast. I ordered it solely off of how good it looked when a bunch of people at a table next to us ordered. It looked amazing. Sadly when mine came out all the toppings were melted and some of the toast was soggy. It seemed like it had been sitting somewhere for too long. :( I've heard so much good about this place so I was super disappointed in my experience. The best thing about the visit was the home fries. Maybe I need to come and try their non brunch items. But I won't be back for a while.

Okay, so I'm glad I didn't write a review after my initial visit here because it was just alright. Quite honestly, it seemed very over rated...your standard Americanized Italian dishes with heavy sauces and massive portions. My most recent experience was completely different, though - it was wonderful! I ordered the Chicken Carciofi and holy wow. It was amazing! I'm quite picky with my Italian dishes as I have an Italian family, but this dish specifically was fabulous.

I just have to give this restaurant a five star rating. Last night we celebrated 3 birthdays and believe me Little Mama's was the place to do it. Fun, casual, family style vibe, unbelievable Italian food, huge portions, great bottle of Prosecco and a bustling environment. We felt like we were in an episode of the Sopranos. The menu has traditional Italian entrees as well as some upscale specialties. We started with the stracciatella, fior de latte cheese, with roasted Sicilian peppers and bruschetta as well as the chopped salad with Brussels sprouts, kale, Gorgonzola, almonds, raisins, olives, etc. And, a crisp bottle of rose Prosecco. Next came the confusion of narrowing down what to order. It took us quite some time to decide because there were multiple things we all wanted to try. We decided to share three entrees so we each got to taste multiple things. We decided on a classic chicken Parmesan with homemade fettuccine, the special of spiral noodles in a parmesan butter sauce and a classic lasagne with layers of beef, veal and pork. Holy smokes! Just fabulous. The red sauce was scrumptious. We were trying to rank our favorites. Needless to say, we had a big doggie bag to take home. We split a huge piece of Nutella pie for dessert. That was it, we were done with! We could die fat and happy with big smiles on our faces!! We had such a great time and memorable birthdays. Just go and see for yourself. It makes you feel like you are back in the old country!! You will need to make reservations at this gem of a restaurant. There is a large parking lot available in front of the restaurant.

Loved it! Highly recommend reservations, it does fill up. I didn't realize they make fresh made pasta so definitely ask what kinds are available and add to your pasta dish. I love the penne vodka so did that with the fresh pasta and it was PHENOMENAL! My friend ordered the Alfredo and although it was good she did wish it had a little more sauce. Each person tried my vodka pasta and liked it the best. I added on a mamas salad and a few bloody Mary's and it was overall a great meal. The restaurant itself is cozy and has a lot of light. The service was also top notch. Our server did an excellent job and I will be back with my Italian mama!

Very cute Italian restaurant, perfect for dinner or date night, any occasion really! The chicken Parmesan was amazing. The chicken was great but the spaghetti could've been better. The fresh radiatore for the vodka pasta was very tasty. Adding the chicken to the pasta made it even better. Beware the vodka sauce is a little spicy as well! I loved the vibe and the food! I highly recommend this spot for Italian food. If you're visiting on the weekend you will need to come to the restaurant in person to get on the waitlist. I HIGHLY recommend ordering the chicken parm and substituting the spaghetti for one of the fresh pastas.
